I bought a fresh bag of popping corn to use in my hot air blower, but its kind of boring just plain. Does anyone have any good recipes for flavouring? (preferably not using a ton of butter and/or sugar:rolleyes1 ) TIA:goodvibes

How about sprinkling on parmesan cheese? Or chili powder? I don't know if they will stick to hot air popped though. I think they need a bit of butter or oil to stick.

Ok then, how about recipes with a LITTLE bit of butter ;)

Do you mean like drizzle melted chocolate over it, let is sit and then break it up into pieces?

Powdered/confection sugar should stick very nicely to it. :thumbsup2

Here's a recipe snipped from Quick & Easy Christmas treats - *UPDATED* - compiled recipes - Page 53
along with variations other posters made. (Where it says "I", it's other posters.) It's not low in sugar like you asked, but it's very yummy.

White Chocolate Popcorn
One bag microwave popcorn
large chunk of white chocolate

Cook popcorn and make sure you remove all the uncooked kernels. Melt white chocolate in large bowl (I do this in 45 second intervals so as to not scorch.)

Dump bag of popcorn into bowl of melted chocolate and stir until the popcorn is covered. Pour over wax paper to harden and then break apart and put into clear gift bags with beautiful ribbon.

I melted a huge White Chocolate Bar with toffee in it and drizzled it on top of the popcorn once it was spread out on wax paper ~ OMG!!! It is to die for and looks totally beautiful! I put it in clear cellophane bags and tied them with a cranberry colored organza ribbon with gold trim ~ I would actually pay good money for these if I saw them in the store!!! And soooo easy and inexpensive too!

I mixed the popcorn with rice chex, nuts and chocolate chips. I poured the white chocolate over it and mixed it and spread it on the wax paper and cooled it. Then I drizzled dark chocolate over the top of one batch and caramel over another.

Just chock it up to holiday celebrating. popcorn:: :dance3:

We can all starve ourselves in January.

Trouble is, all my holiday clothes shrunk in the wardrobe:rolleyes1 I'm in "fat chick" trousers and limited range of tops:headache:
