Popcorn again, but with a purpose.

My buddy's son has a business making high quality popcorn and he want o expand it.

When I was in college, my roommate told me a place in Westchester NY where he went to a popcorn bar.

Apparently popcorn was sold and then you put your choice of about 50 condiments / seasonings on it.

Other than butter and sweetener, would would you eat on your popcorn?

My roommate turned me on to putting mustard on my popcorn, which sounds gross, but it really grows on you!

I'll pass along any ideas that you have.

When I was in college, we'd make big bowls of popcorn and dip it in the salsa packets we'd take from the dining hall. Obviously it was difficult because the popcorn is too small to dip easily, and it gets mushy very quickly. But it tasted soooooo good! Every once in a while I still do it, and my ds9 likes it too. Maybe a salsa-flavored seasoning?

A popcorn bar is a neat idea. I can see where it'd be a big hit in a college town. Yum Yum.

This is going to sound rather gross, but when I was a teenager we would hang at the local Ground Round. Of course, being from Bflo. we always ordered chicken wings. Originally Ground Round offered both free popcorn and peanuts. We liked to dip the popcorn in the remaining blue cheese from the wings! It really is good.

Hot sauce here too.

You know how they have those oils infused with flavors like garlic or roasted tomatoes, etc. Couldn't you do that with the butter/oil for the popcorn too?

They do a garlic and habanero mix, as well as some with milder chiles.

I think that they got the idea from a web site but changed it some to make it their own.

My dd dips her popcorn in balsamic vinegar. Actually, she dips just about everything in balsamic vinegar....... Another dip she likes is the sauce they use on buffalo wings.

They used to make a microwave popcorn that was sour cream & onion flavored--I loved it!!! I like the ranch flavor they have at our theater now.

Powdered cheese! I love to sprinkle the molly mcButter cheese on my popcorn.

In college, I used to eat popcorn with butter, Lowry's season salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. Soooo good!

In Germany they put sugar on it. It's also good.
