Pop

I also travel with family, but my DDs and I stay out later than my DH. Sometimes you can ask a CM to escort you to your room, just say that you feel uncomfortable or uneasy about the lateness and location. They will usually be glad to help. Good luck!

We stayed at Pop in Sept - and it was me that did the runs to the machines, the food court and laundry - always by myself!!

We chose to spend the extra $10 for preferred, which is closer to everything - honestly - I always felt safe here - its well lit - and when we stayed till park closing, so did a whole bus full of families - all stop at the gift shop and the food court (lots of people remembered to keep their refillable mugs with them, not us - I'd go to our room, get the mugs, refill them, walk back)

If you're worried, say something to the CM at check in - you should be reassured... I dont think I'd want a ground floor, or a top floor... but that's just me!!

You'll be fine, I'm sure!

Hi lo

Ha ha, little pun on the salutation;

I really don't think you need to be worried. With all the people that are there, the chances are very slim that anything serious will happen. As I said before, we have been there many times, and nothing has happened security wise. My wife has been there herself on some occasions and always felt safe. Just take normal precautions, (keep the chain on the door) and you will be fine.
Have a great trip :yay:

You will hear about a situation here and there... but how many days and nights pass without something happening? Really, the odds of anything happening are slim to none. Just take your normal safety precautions and don't do anything you wouldn't do.

DD and I have been on 2 trips to WDW alone, and have never encountered any problems. I never felt uneasy at all.

The chances of something happening there are, IMO, no greater than in your own driveway or house.

We just came back from a great stay at the POP. :cool1: It was our first time there and I felt just as safe as when we had stayed at the Contempory or the AKL. I think it is always wise to be cautious and be aware of your surroundings. But overall, I think Disney has a pretty good track record for safety.

I have been lots of times without DH and have always been and felt safe. One time it was just DD, then about 9, and I staying at CSR on the very back side. We were the only ones that got off the bus at the stop and we were fine going to our room alone. Not being too paranoid about it, I just kind of scoped out the surroundings, then took off on the fun we had intended.

Have a great time! Just being aware is the biggest thing.
