Pop-Which building?

I am staying at POP later this month (just me and DBF). We've never stayed there before so I'm not sure which building to request at check-in.
1) We're getting refillable mugs so we'd like to be close to the food court if possible.
2) We will have a car but plan on taking the bus some too; so we'd like to be closer to the parking lot and bus stop.
3) We don't care about being close to any pools.
Any suggestions?

We were in the Play-Doh building. If you ask to face the lake behind the building, it is much quiter and you get a great view of the fireworks. We were on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Can't remember the floor, it was a few years ago. I do remember it was not the bottom floor. Being at this location you are very close to the food court area, pool, bar and the buses. I hope that helps.

Since the rooms are actually assigned a few days before check-in, you may want to call Disney Reservations and ask to have your request added to your reservation. That way the resort will have it when they are originally assigning rooms. Otherwise, you would just have to hope for an opening when you check-in.

We stayed in the 70s building overlooking the fooseball court on the 3rd floor. Quiet. Nice room. Nice view. A little bit of a hike from the parking lot but not too bad. We were also close to the main building. I'd recommend this location to anyone.

I am a Pop Century veteran having stayed in all areas except the 80's. If you are not worried about being near a pool then I would select the 70's. The 60's poolside can be noisy but 60's lakeside is also a great choice. Please remember some rooms closest to main hall are preferred. I'm sure there is a map somewhere that tells you which rooms are preferred. Also do call ahead to make your room request. That doesn't mean you'll get it but it doesn't hurt to ask! Have fun.
