We are planning a trip for Dec 6 to the 14th. I see that is pop warner week. We were planning to stay at a moderate but have not decided which one. Does anyone know which resorts these kids usually stay at.

Thanks

Their choices this past December were the Allstar Sports and Music and the POR and the POFQ.
In past years the POFQ was just for the over flow from the POR, but this year they were actually given the choice of the 2 resorts.

95% of the Pop Warner folks live at the values. I would strongly suggest NOT staying there! We had nothing but problems and Disney moved us (on their cost) to the CR because after 3 nights of no sleep...let's just say our "Disney spirit" was long gone! Our last Dec. trip we stayed at POR-FQ and while there were a few families, there weren't many. Most of the Pop Warner folks were over at the Riverside. If the tourneys begin before you arrive, most of them should be gone by the 7th or 8th. (Can you tell I'm not a huge fan of Pop Warner?) I'm sure that not all of them are bad, but we had such a bad experience that we will NEVER again stay anywhere (other than a mod or a deluxe) near them again.

This is what I am scared of -- I booked POFQ before I realized this was Pop Warner week. I'm thinking of changing - although we really wanted to stay at POFQ. I'm pretty upset reading all of the comments about the PW kids. I don't want to pay for a deluxe and we really wanted to try all the moderates.

Can I ask where you found out those dates from? I was asking someone I know whose daughter competed this past year and she said it was usually the first full week of December, so I assumed it would be the week before. We're going 12/7- 12/14. I originally had booked a room at POR but switched to a different resort.

Also, the groups around me stay at POR and not the values.

It usually is the first week of December, apparently they have a big play off the weekend after Thanksgiving and then off to WDW the following weekend. This year, Thanksgiving is late, so their dates are a week off. The calendar on the POP Warner website lists the dates this year as 12/7-12/13
The groups going are given a choice of 2 of the value resorts, the Allstar Sports and the Allstar Music and 2 moderates the POR and POFQ. It does seem the the majority of the teams are in the value resorts.

The dates have been announced and it's December 7th to 13th..

I didn't have any problems with them in 2007 at AllStars Sports but let's just say that my experience appears to be very unique.

If you're thinking you're worried.. change resorts. A Disney trip is TOO expensive to worry about this ...

AVOID / All Stars ANYTHING and PO-anything. :)
