Pop Warner Week question

I just realized we booked a cruise the week of Pop Warner. Our cruise sails 12/4-8. Pop warner is 12/2-9. Would you suggest going to a WDW at the start of the week or the end of pop warner?

We've been to Disney during Pop Warner week and didn't notice much of a difference in crowds at the parks. I've read that you really notice the impact if you're staying at the same resort as the teams.

For me, I'd do parks first and then relax and recover on the cruise.

The earlier in Pop Warner you are there, the less you notice them because more of them are actually playing. As teams get eliminated, you start seeing more of them in the parks. It's not bad (I pretty much always travel during Pop Warner every year), and certainly nothing like the big tour groups, but you do notice them around. I would second the idea of doing the parks first, and then relaxing on the cruise.

I would go it is hard to find a time that there is not some big group there, be tween the races, pop, cheer, tour groups. there is almost always a time that the park is crowded with groups

We really enjoyed relaxing on the cruise after 4 park days back in 2012. It was also nice to have something else to look forward too. No advice on Pop Warner. I'm hoping everyone is correct because we've booked from December 3rd-8th!

I went the 1st through the 8th last year. Where are you staying? The only thing is you'll be at the airport the same time some of them will be arriving, I heard that can be busy.. I arrived on a Thursday last year and missed them. As long as you aren't staying with them, you should be a-okay

The biggest impact with them is if you are staying at their resort. If I ever go that week, its Deluxe, or like I did in 2007, I pushed our dates back one week at the last minute. Couldn't do that now with the FP system, but back then, I could. I think it truly saved our vacation enjoyment that year.
