Pop Warner Week 2012

If you aren't staying at one of their host hotels, it's actually a great week to go. They have little to no impact on the parks. That week has pretty low crowds, with the exception parade taping which will likely be the 7th & 8th. Probably the lowest crowds of December from my own research.

However, if you plan to stay where they usually stay - which in recent years has been All Stars, Pop, POR and CBR - then I would avoid.

Thanks for the annual dates of 1st full week of Dec. I'll make that note & use it each year.

Thanks for the heads up on where they stay. We always stay at POFQ. We usually go the Sunday after Thanksgiving for 10 nites & then offsite for another 7 nites. Last Nov/Dec, we didn't notice them. I'm trying to (hopefully) hit Free DDP dates, so our checkin date needs to be before they arrive. For this year, we had scheduled arrival 12/2 & they arrive 12/1. So, we've changed our reservation to our old standby of Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Last year, you didn't notice them because they were moved over to CBR, due to the POR refurb. With the lack of inventory and even less odds of using POFQ as an overflow, like they usually do, they had to be moved for this one year.

No telling whether they were still be at CBR or moved back to POR.

I am pricing resorts for that time of year and being that there are no regular rooms available at CBR for a week stay from Dec 2-8 I am guessing they will be there. :confused3

Dec. 7th is a Friday. I thought Christmas Parade taping was done on Saturday and Sunday? :confused3

Anyone have tips on how to get tickets to watch the filming of the parade? Thanks!

I'm just finding out about this "Pop Warner" event!!! I really do hope there won't be many cheerleaders and dancers in the parks. They annoy my husband and I so much with the cheering everywhere they go. I also just found out that they usually stay at the all-star resorts which is where we will be staying. Boo! I will just have to suck it up and ignore the cheering. lol

Some of them aren't so bad. Last year, we met a bunch of nice cheerleaders, but the year before, there were some very rude teens.
