Pop Warner party

According to the currently-posted Dec. 2012 calendar, DHS will be closing at 8PM every night
of the first full week of Dec. with a Fantasmic! performance every night at 6:30.

In the past, they closed DHS at 7PM and had no F! on the night of the Pop Warner party.

If the currently-posted schedule holds, regular DHS guests may not be inconvenienced by early closure and lack of Fantasmic! on the Pop Warner Party night this year.

Last year there were two consecutive nights that DHS closed early...one was for the Pop Warner party and the other was a service celebration for cast members. Don't know if the cast member celebration is going to be a yearly thing always held at Studios or not.

It's possible the Pop Warner party hasn't been arranged yet and that is why an early closing isn't currently listed.

That's possible,
but I can tell you that the party HAS been in place this early every year in the past.
(We could always check the Dec. calendar as soon as it was posted to see which night DHS closed at 7PM to gauge the private events.)

OTOH, I really don't see why closing DHS at 8PM would make much difference to the "party guests" as opposed to closing the park one hour earlier (they could just keep the place open for an extra hour for the party.)
And, closing at 8PM would make a lot of
"regular guests" happy if they offered Fantasmic! that night, too.

Time will tell if this is a new policy, or if a possible change in DHS hours is coming soon.

Could be.

That info is not yet on all of the calendars.

It has generally actually been on Wed. nights, so Wed. Dec. 5, 2012 would be consistent.

The 7pm closing is listed on the official Disney website, with all other nights closing at 8pm. That is why I assumed Pop Warner, I will be watching for updates. Is it too soon for Pop Warner participants to have information?

My educated guess is that the private party will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. The Pop Warner website has the 2011 schedule, and the DHS party was on Wednesday. The 2012 schedule isn't posted yet, but many national championships tend to follow the same schedule year to year.
