Pop Warner Football Championships

I have read all the threads about running into large groups of cheerleaders and football players during Pop Warner Week. Has anyone ever been a participant in this event? Did you get any real park time or was your time totally structured with organized team events and practices? Was it a good experience for your child? It is alot of cash to put out right before the holidays and I was just wondering how things worked. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
