POP vs. POFQ: Transportation

We have stayed at POP twice and really enjoyed the resort. The only thing that bugged us was that the POP bus stop at the parks was always the farthest from the entrance, and always seemed to be the longest line, too. We're trying POFQ for the first time in August. So, if you've stayed at both, how do they compare transportation wise?

I haven't stayed at POFQ, but have stayed at POR and Pop. I'd say Pop has better bus service. They don't share service with any other resort (POFQ and POR share) and they only have one stop.

I never stayed at POFQ, I stayed at CSR and CBR and the Value Resorts (including POP). The bus lines at the moderate resort are allot shorter than the value resorts. It is worth the extra money for the moderate vs the value for the shorter bus lines & shorter lines at the food court

Pop has good service. Not shared with other resorts makes the POFQ line just as long as any value.

We had no problems with the transportation at POFQ

I've stayed at both. Transporation was not a problem at either. Like you though, I noticed that POFQ bus stops are a lot closer at the parks. Also, there is a cover at the resort at the bus stop.

The waiting for buses is the pits. Heading to the parks isn't bad because you're full of energy, but the return is bad. I remember leaving MGM at 11pm, only to watch all the other resort buses come and go while waiting for what seemed forever on our very tired feet. It's great the free transportation they offer, but my opinion is forget the buses and just rent a car if possible. If you wait til a couple weeks before leaving and use coupons that are offered on the car rental webpages, you can get incredible deals. Last year I had a Monte Carlo through Alamo Sept. 1 - 8 for $107 (after taxes!) It's worth checking out!
