Pop versus ?

My children (9 and 7) love POP. They always want to stay there. We normally stay there which is fine because we aren't in the room much and we like it there. When we go in Nov I wouldn't mind staying somewhere else. The girls of course still want the in your face Disney hotel
Any suggestions for another place to stay that they will find fun also? Thinking moderate. We have stayed at CBR. I was looking at Riverside?

None of the Mods are IN YO FACE Disney. The Values use big statutes and cement. Mods are about landscaping.

I think a mod might be a significant switch for them, though more calming for you. Riverside is very subtle.

I agree with Aurora. POR is not what I think of when I think of something very DISNEY! It is very relaxing and tranquil. I think CSR is pretty cool. Not in your face Disney but some great themeing.

If you've stayed at CBR you are aware the mods are less hectic and in your face and more about relaxing than the values are. Personally, I liked both CBR and POR and could stay at either one again. You are going to have a tad more room in the room itself and a tad more privacy in a mod. Not to sound like the worst mother in the world, but frankly I never asked my son where he wanted to stay when we went on vacation. The fact that he got a vacation was in and of itself, enough for him so anywhere with a pool and he was good to go. The girls are going to enjoy it no matter where you stay so if budget allows and you are interested, go for POR.

With kids that age, you can "sell" the mods by talking about the better pools. If your girls love princesses, we loved the Royal Rooms at POR. The details in the room are amazing.

I third (fourth?) the call for Royal Rooms at POR. If your girls like princesses, they will love these rooms. Also, the mods have waterslides at the pools, which may be a draw to 7 and 9 year olds, especially if you don't usually visit the water parks. POR also has the boat to Disney Springs, which is cool, and you can rent those surrey bikes, too. And the food court is delicious! I feel like these things would all be good selling points to 7 and 9 year olds.
