Pop-up blocker suggestions please.

Can anyone recommend a good (and free) pop-up blocker?

i have popup sweeper. i dont know if it is free. kevin installed it one day when i was out. but it does stop almost everything. loving it so far. good luck in your search.

I downloaded the free Panicware pop up stopper that was suggested on these boards recently.

I have "No Ads". I like it better than the Panicware one... I found that the Panicware one wouldn't let me have more than one window open (great for pop-ups but pain in the neck when I actually wanted more than one open!)

The "No Ads" one is programmable. It learns as you go. When an ad pops up, you click on it to tell not to let it thru in the future. It works GREAT for me, even though it sounds time consuming.

I have the panicware popup stopper and if you hold down the shift key you can open as many windows as you want. You also can double-click on the red x to turn it off, then doubleclick on it again to turn it back on.

Thanks, Redmic... I knew all that. I just didn't like it. Holding down the shift key all the time just didn't come naturally to me.

I'll have to try one of these too. I put in Ad aware, but the worst offender for popups (Microsoft internet explorer!!) will not stop.

I use panicware, but elected to pay for a better, more useable version of it. It is excellent, a small price, IMO, to do what it does.

I'm with you, I HATE those Internet Explorer ads!! They always popup at the END , and take so LOOONG to load. And they hold you up from browsing on to something else! HATE EM HATE EM HATE EM!!

I use POW! from activex.com. You have to tell it which pop-ups you don't want, and it goes from there. And it's free, another bonus.
