Pop-up blocker help

I'm trying to access the message boards for my favorite pianoman, William Joseph. While on his webite, I click on the message board link and get a message that a pop-up has been blocked, and I can't open the message board. I went to Tools - Pop up blocker - turn off pop up blocker, and I still get this error message, and the message boards won't open. Help! What else can I try to allow pop ups from this site? I also went in to options in the Pop Up blocker and allowed pop ups from this site. Help!

What other security programs are you running on your PC? (Norton Internet Security, McAfee, any others?)

Now that you turned off the pop-up blocker in your web browser (what are you using for that- the Google blocker? Something else?), do you see any sort of status on a toolbar saying anything about popups at all? (like XXXX popups blocked, or Popups okay)

Kathy, I use Norton's. I looked through the program, and didn't see anything about popups (although knowing me, I'm probably looking in the wrong place).

I have no other toolbars about pop-ups. When I right click to show my toolbars, the active toolbars are standard buttons, address bar, links, HP view, Norton Antivirus, Norton Personal Firewall 2006, Lock the Toolbar. Does this help any?

Bump! I'm convinced that this has to do with my Internet options since the system restore, but I can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas?

Try holding the crtl key when you click on the window that causes the pop up. Sometimes this allows the pop up. If this does not work go into theInternet Properties The privacy tab and click on Advnces. The check Override Automatic Cookie Hndling and Allow Session Cookies then the accept buttons.

indigoxtreme, I know the control key trick (it does work for this website), but I was looking for a 'permanent' solution. I did everything you said, and I still am having this problem. Help! All I know is that I could open the message board before the system restore, and now I have to hold down the control key when I click on the link. Help!
