We have a character breakfast booked for an 8am (:coffee: )seating at Chef Mickeys on our first day. What time should we leave Pop in order to be there on time??? Where would they drop us off -- the transportation center or directly at CR?

Ask the Pop Century front desk Concierge about the Breakfast Bus. Tell
them the day and time of your ADR, and they should be able to give you
instructions.

The other alternative is a taxi to the Contemporary.

there will be buses servicing the MK well before then. they won't be as often, but they'll be there. you can then walk to the CR from the bus stop, although depending on where the driver drops you off at MK, it's not a fun walk.

personally, i'd cab it.

I also have an 8am ADR on my first day at WDW, though at the Polynesian and this is what the CM told me when I made the reservation...

Take a bus to MK, then hop on the hotel monorail over to the Polynesian (in your case, the Contemporary) - can't help you on what time to leave though since this will be my first trip back to Disney since I was 5.

You're staying at Pop so take the MK bus at about 7am/7:15ish, and then you could walk over to the CR because the Pop stop is the last bus stop furthest away from the MK entrance but closest to CR

a couple of minor clarifications.

first, that's a good idea for the poly to take the monorail. not as good an idea for the contemporary as the monorail station is on the opposite side of the MK. you'd need to walk a very long path, then walk all the way across the park entrance to get to the monorail, then wait for the monorail. it's quicker to walk.

as far as walking goes, the issue with POP is that it is the furthest stop, but you can't walk directly from there to the CR. you need to walk to the front of the bus stops and then find the path to the CR there. fortunately however, bus drivers tend to try to drop you off as close to the park as possible in the mornings.

I would hop the bus to Magic Kingdom around 7ish and just walk to the Contemporary from there. It's maybe a five minute walk if that. :)

We are staying at POP (in OMG 8 days) and have an ADR at Ohana at 8:20AM. We're taking a cab! Just sounds much faster and easier than relying on Disney transportation for a resort to resort trip (too many stops, changing buses, walking, etc.). Just my two cents :)

I agree but wonder how much the taxi will cost, last year we took a taxi from WL to CR and he charged me 5.00 bucks.......

Well worth the money, in my humble opinion, to save a LOT of time and to be able to sleep in a little bit more. Plus, it's factored into our budget, so we're good :)

We've never really been to any other resorts - always stayed at POP and have only gone to WL for WCC dinner. That was a transportation nightmare. So, if I ever want to see any other resorts or try any other resort restaurants I HAVE to take a cab!

We have been pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of early morning transportation from both Pop and POR. We used to worry about it but don't give it a second thought anymore. I wouldn't waste $20 on a cab - I'd rather buy a souvenir! In fact, the only trouble we ever had was the monorail breaking down on the way to Polynesian!

Don't the breakfast buses drop at the appropriate hotel though-When I did KTTK tour I had to be there at 8.15 so caught the character meal bus, the driver yelled "anyone for O'hanas" and headed there then did the same for Chef Mickeys-I thought I'd never get to MK at all!

A little OT, but what if you have an early breakfast ADR for WWC? It's not a character bkft, but we will need to get there by WDW transportation regardless. Anyone know?

I made reservations for Donald's Breakfast at AK for 8 AM in October. I was told I have to provide my own transportation to the park that day. Is that correct?

This is Whispering Canyon at the WL right?

If your breakfast is well before MK opens (more than an hour), get on the MK bus and tell the driver you need to get to WL. (I've read posts where the driver dropped the person off right at WL.

If he won't, ask him to drop you off at the CR. Walk to the dock and take the boat to WL.

If the breakfast is after MK opens, your quckest option is to take the MK bus, and then the WL bus.

No. There will be busses that start running about 7AM. Be at the bus stop 45-50 minutes before your ADR. Get on the bus for AK.

I've never heard of a breakfast bus. Can anyone share more info?

If we have a breakfast before the park opens like the princess one in Epcot. Do we just go to the front gate and wait for them to meet us there? How does that work?

Go to the front gate. There will be a sign for those having breakfasts. At Epcot,I believe it is to the far right of the rope drop after the turnstyles.
