Pop to Contemporary

Should I drive to Contemporary for Chef Mickey, or should I take the bus to MK and monorail or walk to the resort? We are going to AK after. So I am wondering which would be my best strategy. If I do the buses, I would have to bus to a resort then to AK, right?

Parking at certain busy times (near the holidays) can be a problem at the MK area resorts.
You can certainly choose to drive, if you like.



The following is using Disney Transportation.

Bus to MK.
Walk to Contemporary.

BTW, if this is a MORNING Chef Mickey trip, be sure to tell your MK bus driver that day that you are headed to
Chef Mickey's.
(S)he may take you directly to the Contemporary on the bus.

You can take a bus from any resort to AK.

Thanks! I havent seen that map before. Looks like leaving the car at Pop might be the best option. I didnt realize just how close Contemporary was to the bus area. It is a breakfast ADR. I will be sure to let the driver know

If you were going to MK or Epcot after I would say bus it, but since you are going to AK I would take the car... .but that is just me....

I am totally one of those leave-the-car (if we even have one) at the resort people, but that is just my attempt to leave all real-world things behind including parking lots and traffic...

We've done precisely the same thing you are planning to do - go from Pop to breakfast at chef mickey's and then AK - and it's easy. The MK bus may drop you at the Contemporary if you are on an early ADR, less likely to do it sometimes if you are on the MK bus form Pop at the time when MK is opening. There is a seperate bus for early ADRs at character breakfasts - ask the Pop folks when you checkin about it if your ADR is before opening time for the MK. Even if you end up walking from the MK bus depot back to the Contemporary it is quick and painless.

The bus from Contemporary to AK took us about 20 minutes last time we rode it, and then of course you just catch the bus back to the Pop century at the end of the day.

It takes about as long to walk to the Contemporary Main Entrance from MK Bus Parking as it does to walk to the MK Entrance from Bus Parking.

I would use the car as well. I believe you can actually park at the Contemporary, just tell them you have an ADR. ENJOY!!
