pop or por?

i have booked to go to the por but i did look at the pop first as it looks great fun for the kids. has anyone been to these hotels and which one did you prefer.

Hi Kellie,

I have stayed at Por in Alligator Bayou, i thought it was very nice, as with all Disney hotels, the rooms are not very big but Por is a little bigger than All Stars/Pop (which are very similar IMO), and you can get the Por boat to Downtown Disney and back which is a (not very well known ) perk of Por IMHO

I have stayed at both resorts and have made the following conclusion

If we went without the children we would stay at POR again. I found the theming 'grown up' and not as suitable for my children who are aged 3 and 9 but this is my personal opinion.
The resort was lovely and as previously stated the rooms are slightly larger, not much and the boat to Downtown Disney was lovely.

I found POP Century great for the children and if i am honest i love the feeling you get when you are at this hotel, you feel like you are still at Disney. I did not get this feeling at POR but that is not a bad thing as sometimes it is nice to unwind after a long day at the parks.
The theming is great and the children had a fantastic holiday there, i would not hesitate to return there again and would be my first choice of hotel.
The Hippy Dippy pool is lovely and is nice to go back to after a long day at the parks.


For me it would be POP Century all the way if you have young children but if you dont, you will not regret POR

I would say POR
we have stayed in both with kids
POR is more relaxed for after a day in the parks
and has a great foodcourt

We loved POR when we went this year (booked there next xmas already). We've got 3 kids 13, 11 and 8 and they all loved it there, but then again everybody is different
