We are going in October for an Adult only trip that will be and today's announcement of Galaxy's Edge has me concerned POP may be madness. We had planned to keep the trip park heavy so POP wasn't much of a concern, but now we are thinking if the parks are madness we can relax at our resort instead. I've never stayed at either hotel would you keep Pop or move to FQ for a little more laid back environment?

FQ is my absolute favorite resort. It's also a great place to stay if you plan on spending a lot of time at Disney Springs. Additionally, resort-hopping is one of my favorite things to do if I'm avoiding the parks for whatever reason. I like going to AKL and seeing the animals, riding the monorail around to visit the monorail resorts, hanging out at the Boardwalk, grabbing drinks at various resort bars, and shopping at the different stores and gift shops at the resorts. FQ is a great place to stay if you want to resort hop because you can take the boat to/from Disney Springs. So you can leave a park by taking a bus to whatever resort you want to check out. Then from that resort, take the bus to Disney Springs. Then get back to your hotel by taking the boat to FQ.

I love both of those resorts! I think FQ would be my choice for adult's only, more relaxing at the resort type of trip. The grounds are lovely, it's really quiet and relaxing, nice hot tub, and the boat ride to DS.

Since Galaxy’s Edge opens in August, the Gondola will probably be open by October, if not sooner. I’d keep Pop for easy access to Epcot and HS.

FQ is a beautiful, calm, quiet resort with a wonderful theme. For DH and I, it is our go-to resort. The boat to Disney Springs is such a great perk and an easy walk over to Riverside for additional dining options and entertainment. FQ is a peaceful retreat after a long, busy day at the parks. We love to fix a drink and sit down by the river to relax. The boat ride to and from DS at night is gorgeous and the horse-drawn carriage ride is very romantic :)

Another vote for FQ. Pop's a good resort but with it being a Value resort and today's announcement it's bound to be packed. FQ probably will fill up too but since its significantly smaller I would think it would be more manageable.

FQ all the way. I've never stayed at Pop but we love FQ. DD actually liked it more than BWV during our split stay. It's such a pretty resort.

I would go with POP. I tried POFQ last September and it is just not my style at all. (Of course I’m the weird duck who does not get the world’s fascination with/love for New Orleans, so that probably entered into my not really liking FQ.)

Another POFQ fan here, small resort with easy walk to everything. For an adults trip both the lounges at POFQ and POR have live entertainment in the lounge area most nights. Great boat ride to DS for shopping and dining, one of our favorite resorts.

I have stayed at both and enjoyed both, but typically I would recommend FQ with no hesitation. The only thing that does make me hesitate now is the gondolas. If you plan to try to see DHS and GE amd/or spend a lot of time at Epcot I would really consider staying at Pop with the skylines access. I’m
not actually sure which I would choose if I were you, and it might still be FQ,
But I would sure be having a difficult time deciding!

Being totally honest I'd sleep on the parking lot at Disney if it meant going there. But if there is a company that is really good at pricing resorts for what they're worth it's Disney. POFQ is probably the best moderate and POP is the best value and they are priced at the top tier of their categories. And there is definitely a very noticeable difference between the two.

I've stayed at both and POFQ is just so much better on so many levels. The resort is so nice, relaxed and quiet. POP is loud and busy. We went over Easter and while it took about a minute to check into POFQ it took over an hour at POP (not exaggerating). The bussing at POFQ is way, way, way less crowded than POP (and better than some of the deluxe resorts I've stayed in). They also have the riverboat to Disney Springs (again, some deluxe resorts do not have this, and it is a fun perk). The room at POFQ is bigger, plus there's a sit down restaurant.

If I went on trips alone I'd be happy at either (truthfully much more happy at POFQ though :))but my husband would never stay at POP, especially given the relatively small price difference between the two.

I'm agreeing with POFQ. After a crazy day at the parks, POFQ will be relaxing. The boat ride to DS is always a nice trip.

FQ - you will love to boat to DS
The small feel of the resort - so easy to walk around
Great lighting in the evening
POR right next door for more places to eat and play - use of both pools

If you can afford POFQ - I would do it

My wife and I have stayed at both...…..and love each for their unique theming. We're older and we do like the amenities and locations of the Deluxe resorts, but when price matters we've become PoP Century junkies. Never had an issue with a room (first time in renovated room this August), the busses, or the food court. The pricing is $50 to $75 less the POFQ......and when we stay at PoP that does matter :-)

With the soon to be "Skyliner" making traveling to Epcot and HS unique...…….I'd recommend PoP……..noting this isn't me saying anything negative about POFQ...….we just love PoP.
