I can get Coronado Springs (Water View) for the same price of the Pop package I currently have booked in February/March (Standard room at Pop). What would you do? We are a family of 4 (2 adults, a 7 and a 6 year old). We spend most of the time at the parks and at the pool. Our priorities in a room are cleanliness, transportation, and the pool (kids love water slides!)
We stayed at Pop in 2014 and liked it, but we haven't been back to a Value resort since (because of great deals we've had other places.) We loved the ease of transportation at Pop (one bus stop), like the convenience of the food court, and found the room to be clean. The possibility of getting a refurbished room is exciting. However, I'm worried now that the room may feel smaller now that the kids are bigger, and I think the kids will really miss having a water slide in the pool.
I've never stayed at CSR before, but I'm worried about the construction and the transportation (I understand there are multiple bus stops within the resort, and I find that to be a con). The main pool looks cool, and I like staying at a new resort each time we go.
Any feedback and thoughts are welcome! Please help me decide!

I would move to CSR and request Cabanas 8 A/B, Casitas 5 or Ranchos section. I doubt that the construction would be a big deal that far away. You will need to be prepared to walk a bit to get to the main building with food court, restaurants, shopping etc. You aren't far from the pool though and will be close to the 2nd bus stop for pickup drop off.

CSR is generally beautiful, has great dining, as good bus service as at any resort (IMO), clean, comfortable rooms and has a great pool with a large hot tub. We love the extra amenities like a small fitness centre and a beauty salon.

We don't usually stay at resorts under construction, but I don't know that I could pass up on a moderate at the same price as a value resort.

Good luck choosing!

Thank you!
How long do you think the “internal loop” adds to the travel time to parks?

We are also staying at POP the same time as you. I'm excited about POP because of the refurbished rooms!

Only a few minutes, I've never timed it but I would guess maybe 5 - 8 minutes? - longer if there are ECV's to be strapped in though. TBH, unless you are staying in a monorail resort going to the MK or an Epcot resort going to Epcot, transportation doesn't seem significantly better at any one resort over the others to us. Honestly, once we are on the bus, we just chat about our plans and look forward to the day.

I wouldn't worry about transportation times. The bus ride really isn't bad from CSR - it is a fairly well situated resort, so no ride is really long getting to you theme park. Our experience getting buses from here has always been pretty good, but we haven't had a lot of difficult times with transportation from any resort. We have stayed in them all and getting around seems to be hit or miss at any of them.

You can always walk to the last pick up bus stop by the main building. Then you will head straight to the parks, but you do risk having to stand.

Enjoy whichever you choose.
