Hi :)
We are currently booked at Pop with free dining for 5 nights. The kids are going to be 13 and 15 so they count as adults.
From what I can tell based on standard room prices, the price difference between CBR and Pop when I'm going is $67. At the Pop, since they are offering QS to the values, we are paying $10pp to upgrade to DDP for a total of $40. $67-$40=$27.
So, my question is, is it worth $27per night to upgrade to CBR? I've stayed at WL, POFQ, and CSR. Our favorite has been WL. Thanks!!

We've never stayed at Pop but our first onsite stay was at CBR and we loved it :). For us, it would definitely be worth it to pay $27 more a night to upgrade to CBR ::yes::. Plus the rooms are a little bigger and they just refurbished the main pool, which I have heard is great :goodvibes. Good luck deciding and have a magical trip :wizard:.

We have a different deal booked but we are sticking with the QS at Pop. However upgrading the hotel would cost over $100 per night. We plan to have 4 TS meals OOP and will still save over $100 over the regular plan plus we will get the refillable mugs, and 2 snacks per day. Because of all the snacks we will not order dessert at the TS. So I would price out the TS meals you would want and then compare that to the OOP cost. Otherwise, yes I would upgrade for $27.

You would have to check in by Ocotber 2nd to get free dining. You need to call disney Monday morning when free dining is announced to the general public. Unless you have a disney visa you can call now.

Oh no we are planing after Oct 2. May be can move to sept I have the $$$ for plane ride so can look at those date prices. How do you get that line that says the names and ages. It's cute. :)

I love POP, but for $27 more per day I would probably upgrade to CBR. We stayed there for 2 days last Aug & loved it. The pool & the beach area are really fun!!! Also, it's nice to have a fridge in the room at CBR. :goodvibes

Thanks for your help and advice :goodvibes I upgraded to CBR! I am really excited about this resort. Now I need to find time in our schedule to rent the Sea Racers, the kids are finally both old enough to drive their parents around.
The fridge will help alot since we bring our own water. We're also trying out the park hopper option for the first time this year. I can't wait!

For the price difference I would upgrade to CBR. Its a great resort, you'll have a free fridge in room and its a great relaxed atmostphere.

I think you made a wise decision. The rooms at POP are very small, and with the ages of your kids, extra space in the room will be a plus.

I booked us at CBR with the free dining too (even though we weren't planning to go back until May). :thumbsup2

We're taking my parents with us and my mom mentioned that she and my dad would probably have to buy the mugs because they will want coffee. I said, "Mom, your room has a coffee maker... and a fridge" She got very excited. :upsidedow They have only stayed at the values before. We stayed at Pop Century a few times and enjoyed it, but last trip we did a split stay between Pop and CSR. CSR was a completely different atmosphere and we all loved it. Hoping for a similar experience at CBR. :goodvibes

OP, I'm glad you asked this question because it's the exact question I was searching for before I make my reservations for FD tomorrow (I hope). I am with you and will be booking CBR. So excited!!!

Cool! I"m so glad my question was helpful :goodvibes I am soooo excited about this trip. I wish it wasn't 4 months away!

Is my math wrong? I have us booked at Pop for 5 nights and switching to POFQ would cost us $666 more even with free dining.

I was wondering the same thing. I wasn't following the OP math either. Maybe I read it wrong but not sure how you can upgrade to DP for 4 adults for just $10.:confused3 It would be $10 a day per person at a rate of $200 for the entire stay. I figure it to cost $174 more to upgrade to CBR...Myabe someone else can explain something I am missing.

What are your specs for your trip and I will be happy to see what I come up with? I run my #'s and disneymath :teacher: all sorts of ways to try and figure the best deal for our family!

It's per day. It is $149/night at a moderate ($159 on weekends) and $82/night at values ($92 on weekends) because it is value season in September. The difference is $67 per night. Upgrading the dining plan $10/person a night is $40 off the savings of $67/night to stay at a value for a total of $27 per night to stay at a value versus a moderate.

I would recheck your math...that seems like way too high of a price difference for 5 nights. Is a moderate ever more than $100 higher a night than a value? Unless there was some sort of preferred view or something?:confused3

:thumbsup2 Thanks I knew I was missing something somewhere. She was doing her math per day, I like to do mine per stay. That was the difference. :)

I would definitely upgrade. 27$ per night is not very much to move up to a moderate resort. Of course you're talking to a guy who convinced himself years ago that it was worth the extra 200$ per night to move from a moderate to a deluxe so what do I know?:rotfl2:
