Unca Dis- First of all some good news for you re Trivial Pursuit..... the writers included intentionally WRONG answers in order to have kind of a tag on the data set to be able to determine if the questions were stolen from a rival game maker.... I have encountered some of these WRONG answers and they have effected the outcome of the game....

Secondly, a confession.... I totally missed WWTBAM at Disney. And yes it is hard to go on burdened by this knowledge

Thirdly, James sounds too cute for words. Don't tell him I said that however.

Fourthly, I cannot be your Greek mythology lifeline. Unless a few episodes of Zena count... but I am willing to go as your studio audience complete with a DISUNC lime green t-shirt, handful of park maps and lime crocs. Just let me know.

But I cannot help you out with your lifeline, as I always lose at trivial pursuit, and have the worst memory ever of pop culture, history, etc. Still, I am sad the show will no longer be played at mgm, cause I was looking forward to it.

The time I ‘lost’ (was cheated) was while playing Trivial Pursuit I was ‘this close to the center’ with my entire hub filled, and the question was “Danny Thomas starred in what 50’s TV show as a Nightclub Entertainer?” Well everyone knows the answer is “Make Room for Daddy”. Everyone, that is except the “so-called” experts at ‘Selchow & Righter’, the company that originally produced this game. Their answer was (Get a load of this!) “Make Room for Danny”! And this cost me the game!

To this day the humiliation still stings me!

All I could think of was this...
GEORGE: All right BB. Let's just play... Who invaded Spain in the 8th century?
DONALD: THAT'S A JOKE. THE MOORS.
GEORGE: Oh, Noooo, I'm so sorry. It's the MOOPS. The correct answer is, The MOOPS.
DONALD: MOOPS? LET ME SEE THAT. THAT'S NOT MOOPS YOU JERK, IT'S MOORS. IT'S A MISPRINT.
GEORGE: I'm sorry the card says MOOPS.

Then the person who was in the #1 spot stood up and came down. He was a 16-year-old kid from Ohio! I think his name was Stupid Idiot Punk boy!
A 16 year old????? Beat ME????? At MY GAME!!!!!!!

You have just brought tears to my eyes, and it wasn't because I felt bad for you .

But really, does anybody know why WDW closed this wildly popular attraction? For years it has always had a full house, everybody loves it. Yet Disney decides to close it and keep Sounds Dangerous open?

Trivial Pursuit- ugh- try being the youbgest person playing with zilcho POP knowledge(those questions are so dang hard) For some reason that game brings out the bad sport in me!!! No Joke- I am not 9 but a grown woman with a job, a family etc and trivial pursuit just turns me into a bratty 9 year old.

Please believe me when I tell you no other game does this to me.

DisUnc - When we went to HDDR 2 years ago, who was sitting accross from us but Marlo and Phil! She was lovely.

My sister-in-law has had two friends that have made it to the hot seat. It has been several years it was when the Regis was doing the show. I know they both won over $100,000 don't remember the actual amount. She and all her friends are brainiacs the kind you would never play want to play Trivial Pursuit with. Great installment! - 2 installments actually - since I am playing catch up again.
I am only a minor trivia nut...mostly since my family got tired of playing with me & my Dad... You'd think they would've eventually figured out not to let us pair up!

But I have to toss in my 2 cents on the tv talk - we had a tower antenna that didn't get moved without an act of nature. We had it in a position that got all 4 channels just fine. My grandparents though - they had the tower antenna with the dial control that sat ontop of the tv set. With all the little stickers so you could just dial up the rotation for each channel. We thought that was the coolest...it made it worth it to be the "official channel changer".

Thanks for another great chapter. I am also sad to see WWTBAM closing. It was a great show to play at WDW. I can't believe that they have kept something as STUPID as Sounds Dangerous around as long as they have. I really enjoyed the hosts that they had for the game also. Anyone have any idea what some of the hosts will be doing now ?
