Hey, I know that boogie board! What I want to know is how come the front desk/bell services at the POP is so much more efficient than the same at OKW??? It was so not that easy for me!:

Gotta say the SERVICE at the POP is UNPRECIDENTED! Really Really GREAT! I have stayed in many of 4 star restorts...and NONE of them compare to the POP! You need a towel, and within 2 minutes they are there! And they way they CLEAN the rooms....WOW! Great!

This is really very amusing! "Baby's Best Friend"! Leave it to you, DISUNC. Great money management!

They are a company in Orlando, mosty rent Baby furniture and stuff. However they do rent Fridge's too. I REFUSE to pay 10.00 a night to WDW for a 64.00 fridge!
Its a matter of Principal!

I don't have a PDA, either. Mine is not quite a clipboard (no boss checking up on me at work) but my "notepad" can contain all the info I ever need. Sometimes technology makes things harder and not easier, eh?!!

By the way, Mr. Day 1, have I mentioned that my TR is done and I only got back from WDW a week after you?

Unca DIS, I just got back into to town and had to get caught up on your Trip Report. Fab-u-lous. I tried the Clipboard Trick but nobody was fooled into thinking that the laundry was getting done and my 4 year olds were not impressed and the baby just tried to use it to teeth on.... hmm.... maybe I am not doing it right but thanks for the idea. Maybe next time when I am in a more paychecky career I'll try it again. As for Elvis I spent some formative years in Memphis. Of course our large extended Italian family visited. Of course we had to take everyone to the sites of Memphis (river banks of the Mississippi, Peabody Hotel, Pink Palace Musuem and Graceland)..... once when we were on an unusually long car ride doing errands my baby sis (then about 3) piped up from the way back "Hey mom, are we going to that dead guy's house again?" That dead guy....
anyhoo-I am all caught up and waiting for more. And I have a clipboard to prove that my wants are important.....

Day1 Part4 Back At the POP!

I have a pic of DD just like that from when we went a few years ago. I hadda lift her up into the "0" then.

Who would leave these for us?

I asked if you wanted it before we left.. silly (I guess senility sets in). Didnt know if you'd get use out of it... but it was no good home in PA. I left last year's at the front desk in case someone would like to use it. You could have passed it on.. it's no use to you anymore either lol.

You're welcome... I thought you would think I was nuts leaving the boogie board, but my DD had so much fun with it.. so I thought of you bringing James, and thought he might like it. It's great that you passed it on!

Unlike every other year, this year I remember too use the FULL services of Bell Services. I hate unpacking the car and schlepping the entire miss-matched set of luggage through the resort, and every year I do. We took all the suitcases and dropped them off at Bell services

I should be ashamed to admit this, but I NEVER carry my luggage. There is only me and DD and she can't handle anything for too long.. and even getting one of the luggage racks, I'm usually ramming into walls, elevators.. people!...lol. So it's safer for everyone if I just use bell services.
No mismatched luggge either... but I'm a woman, it's to be expected

and also checked to see if a delivery from “A Baby’s Best Friend” was there. I had rented a fridge & a fan from them, at a considerably less price then Disney resorts charge for just the Fridge rental.

Is that some of the group rentals going on?... I think this is a great idea! With the rise of Disney resort rates, I really think it's time to have the refrigerators standard in value resort rooms.

then onto the DisBoards infamous and much ballyhooed, Rt. 192 Wal-Mart!

I'm pretty familar with the area now, and can get most places without a problem. But for some darn reason.. every time I look for that walmart I get lost! I do find it though... eventually. And usually when I'm not looking for it anymore.

The POP’s Chicken Penne Alfredo is 7.99 of pure mouth watering, delectable taste bud bliss to me. I swear I have dreams about this dish. Just a simple man, with simple wants here! James had his Pizza with NO pepperoni (plain pizza @ the POP is a special order.) We ate and drank our Frozen Cokes. I was in almost Heaven!

I wasn't impressed with anything at the POP enough to remember it. But I do remember the tie-dye cheese cake slices. But only because it was nice to look at. I didn't try it because I am a true NY cheesecake snob (Juniors in Bklyn specifically, if it's still there).

I just happened to be there during that Hurricane and witnessed the lose of the 70's

No this wasn't a group rental thing! It is a business that rent cribs, baby stuff. I head about them on this board. I do see now thay are passing refridges to one another. YES they should be standard in ALL resorts. This is WDW nickel & diming!

DISUNC- I'm just as passionate ( ) as you on the Pepsi products opinion!
This year I am scoring some GardenGrocer.com dietPepsi (and Mtn. Dew for DS17!) so I've figured out the solution to the horror of pissy-coke being the only soda choice. That's RIGHT, I said it! It's out-there now and I'm not taking it back!
Last year, get this, I packed a carry on (luggage) with dietPepsi and had to 1.) lug a 40 pound carry-on boot-legged Pepsi through the resort and up the stairs to our room, and, 2.) had to fight off pepsi starved tourists for a week straight. I probably could have paid for my vacation selling my pepsi "moon-shine".

I can not wait to tour POP this year. We leave in 8 and a half days! Did you know if you STARE at your countdown ticker long enough, eventually it'll be time to go?

I like your clipboard persona! I plan on carrying around a notebook as a "reporter for the DISboards". If I'm at a restaurant and the server says, "Oh, I am sorry, we are all out of __________..." I'll non-chalantly start writing in my notebook. When there's a CM giving some attitude...noting his nametag and writing in my notebook should make him be a little nicer. He doesn't need to know I'm jotting down meaningless drivel for my TR??? (It's the Ny-Quil talking...)
