Pop mugs - DDE?

No that would be incorrect. The Dining Discount is for "dining" not merchandise.

It's actually called Everything Pop Dining and Shopping in everything I've seen. It would stand to reason that it's only good on food since it's a dining experinece card. It just says "Everything Pop....." because that is the official name of the "complex". I won't know until I get there in May but Ihave read other places that it is not good on the mug. I would not expect it to be good on merchandise in the store part, though. Has anyone who has used their card gotten the discount on the mugs?

I've gotten the discount on merchandise at POP. I have not bought mugs, but I assume that would be included. I could be wrong.

Pop must be different..as someone who's had a DDE card for as many years as it's been out, I've never seen discounts on merchandise.....and mugs are not considered merchandise

Did not mean to get confused about the name..I've not been there as I'm not a huge Value resort fan..just everyting I've seen about it has called the food court Everything Pop. Didn't realize they crammed the shopping in with that

It says on the literature that comes with the DDE that it is good for Everything POP Dining and Shopping. So, when I bought a pair of sunglasses in the merchandise part, I asked if they took it and they said they did. Is this a new crime on the Dis, or am I just getting paranoid from all the refillable mug threads?

The DDE is not good at the POP store, only the food court. Although they are attached, they have completely different areas to pay in.

Forgive me for being new...but what is the DDE (Dining Discount) and how do we get this??

I was at POP a few weeks ago, using my DDE-card, but I only got the 20% on "real" food! So no discount on the mugs and not on prepacked cookies, chocolates and things like that.
Don't think the cashier can help that, all the prices are put into the computer as well as the fact that I was using the DDE-card and than the computer gives the discount.

My experience must have been a onetime mistake or maybe the sunglasses where on sale to begin with, who knows. It happens. I think since someone did try to get the discount on the mug and it did not apply then we should go with no as the answer to the OP's question.

They wouldn't let me use my DDE card when I purchased our mugs there either. They said that it could be used on food items only.

Ok I'll play devil's advocate. With the mugs aren't you buying the abilty for refills throughout your stay and not just a mug. So wouldn't that mean you could get the discount?
