Another light sleeper here-

I am really trying to not be concerned or worried about too much noise while trying to sleep during our September stay at POP. I am going with a positive attitude, because, hey its WDW! However, I am a very light sleeper and reading others' posts makes me a little leery about how well I will be able to sleep. I plan on bringing a fan to help with noise, but I was wondering if anyone who has stayed in POP lakeside during the hustle and bustle of free dining could tell me how the noise/crowd levels were? Yes, I am probably being too concerned, but I like hearing others' experiences. THANKS!:thumbsup2

My daughter and I stayed there the last 2 years during that time. We requested top floors and away from pool. It was great. Ist year no noise even from neighbors. 2nd year we only heard a few noises and that was around 9pm no big deal. I'm a very light sleeper.

If you're really worried about this...request the 90s Bldg. DH and I were in a room on the 3rd floor at the end of the walkway and seriously felt like we had the whole bldg to ourselves. Plus on the brightside, that couple of extra minutes it takes to get to the foodcourt/buses will help burn off some of the DDP calories! :thumbsup2

We stayed at Pop on the 2nd floor near the bowling pin pool. Had no problems sleeping at all!

Lite sleeper here too. I requested 50's building, top floor, lakeview room and got it all. 50's is at the back of the bowling pin pool and we had no problems. I also slept with earplugs and that helped a lot!!!

Never an issue with noise at that resort for us......last two years we had free dining lakeview.........it was like there was no one else at the resort. We may have passed someone on the hotel walkway from our room once in 10 days and rarely shared the elevator.:thumbsup2

Out of curiousity, was that room considered perfered?

No. But I know that 50's does have some preferred rooms, but I would guess that they are closer to the front on that section. From what I recall, 50's has 3 buildings around the bowling pin pool, kinda in a U shape. The section behind the juke box, where we were, was the top of U if that makes sense. The farthest 50's building.
