I know part of Pop isnt completed. But how difficult would it be for WDW to put a walkway around the lake? cant it be walled off from the unfinished part somehow?

We were just there and I agree with you. I enjoyed our stay there, my only suggestion would be to put another food court into the new section when it is completed. The one they have gets very crowded when the hotel is fairly booked, almost 3,000 rooms and a small food court ...

there is a walkway around the lake - on the half that is opened.

they aren't going to let guest near the part that still has constructions to do.

although you can walk to the end of the bridge.

yes having stayed at Pop twice before Im aware there is a walkway on the finished side and ppl can walk 1/2 way up the bridge.
I know they dont want the unfinished side open to the public but

why cant they put a fence up on that side so ppl can walk around the lake?

Probably because it could be considered a construction site even though no work is being done there at the moment. Safety issues. Just a guess.:confused3

Seems like it'd be solved if they just finished the resort. Also seems like they'd be doing enough business at this point to justify it.

I haven't stayed there but it would be a little weird to be looking out a window of your Disney Resort motel and see an abandoned motel (worse, a mirror image of your motel). Just a little creepy. I get that they stopped it after 9/11 but I'd think the crowds would be back up by now.

I'm pretty sure if they finish it a food court will be going in on that side as well. It is going to be it's own resort, sort of.(the legendary years) I think the pod itse'f is ugly and not very well maintained, so I doubt they will put a walk around it. Maybe if and when the rest is completed they will, but they will never let us on that sied while the contruction is there.

I agree. It is creepy and I hate that they seemed to have dropped the ball on completing the resort. We stayed there the first year it opened and are going back next month. I was hoping by the time we returned to that resort again we could stay in the legendary years but doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon.

i found the pond interesting. no fish - instead there are turtles~

so don't allow your kids near this pond.

I wouldn't worry about the turtles. It's the gators you don't want to get near. But it is so nasty around the edges I didn't really see how anyone would get down near the water anyways.

I agree. The walkway is finished all the way around the lake. It is blocked off so that you can't go any further. I'm assuming that it's to keep people out of the unfinished buildings. Safety reasons?

I also wish they would finish the other side. Family suites would be nice. I think a lot of us would use the suites if they were available. We love Pop, and it would be nice to stay in a suite instead of two separate rooms.
