Pop here we come

First I just have to say THANKS to my fellow Disers... My Disney spirit has been lacking lately and reading these threads about being in my " laughing place" just made me pep right up so THANKS!!!

That being said we will be checking into POP in 16 days... This will be our first stay here. DD picked it. We have stayed at ASSp and enjoyed it. We are the kind of people if you give us a bed and bathroom we'll be happy. Heck I feel we're getting a great deal even w/ paying rack rate for our room it's still $100 cheaper then our airport hotel we're staying at the night before...and it doesn't have an ounce of Disney Charm!!!

Disney's Value resorts have a lot to offer. I wish they didn't call them value because some people equate that with cheap. They are in no way cheap.

I agree. Just back from Pop y-day, and nothing about it screams cheap. Efficient Yes, Cheap No.

Very clean, fast bus service, great service.

They even have room service! (Pizza, Soda, etc.)

Dh and I (also my Ds's) were pleasantly surprised and pleased with our 3 night POP stay.

Hi Neighbor, we are in Indiana. We will be down there December 17th through December 26. This is our first time to POP. Normally, we stay at the deluxes. Trying to save some money and dont know how we will like it but even the lower end Disney hotel is better than the best Hyatt. A few years ago, we stayed at the movies and loved it.

It looks like you'll be getting to POP as we're leaving.

I called my AAA TA today to see if she could get us anything at a monorail resort for my dates. I thought the monorail would be so much easier with the kids. Well, for $1300 extra, we can stay at the Poly. I told her no thank you.

We're already starting to plan our December 2006 trip. I think we need to book the WL now so we can get it! It was booked up by June this year (for the AAA rooms).

We are thinking about staying down there next year for a December trip. (seems silly to think about it now when we leave in 42 days for POR)
I could go to WDW every year if given the chance, and hopefully we will like POP enough that I can make that dream a reality!

Just arrived home today from Pop..had dinner at Classic Hall tonight. We loved it there and plan to stay there next September when we go down.

Very clean and quiet, and the atmosphere is terrific.

Did not hear any noisey neighbors coming in at night and no loud flushing toilets that kept us awake...I highly recommend it!!!

Three weeks and counting!!!! This is my family's first trip to WDW and we're staying at POP for 10 days! It came highly reccomended from a Disney veteran. We are just thrilled to be finally going! Maybe we'll see you there. We will be the family jumping out of our skins with excitement!

We stayed at Pop one night last week after chage of port for our cruise forced us to stay an extra night in Orlando. We had a great time, we stayed in a 50's building with bowling pin pool, and liked it so much we booked 2 nights for January.

I,ve booked up Pop and have to say that the majority of reviews I have read have been more than complimentary.We decided to stay here because it was on site and seemed reasonably priced.Anyway we only need a bed and a bathroom as I don,t plan being in the hotel room much.

We stayed at PoP last december, me dh, ds 7, ds 9mo====We had a great time, no problems at all, we will be staying thre again this december, which seems like forever away== have fun everyone!!!!

Don't know what was mentioned that was negative, but we stayed there in May and had a really good time! It's a nice hotel and the kids will love it. My son't favorite thing of the trip was swimming at the hotel. Go figure....
