Pop Construction?

We got back from Pop a couple weeks ago and thought we saw some big trucks heading to the Legendary Years side, and some movement over across the lake.

Anyone else see this or know if anything is going on over there?

Maybe they will finally finish it. Originally it was supposed to be the second half to Pop but after 911 they stopped construction because tourism declined. I hope that is a good sign.

Im staying at POP in 3 weeks, I'll keep an eye out and maybe snap a photo or two.

I wish they would finish it already! I didnt see any movement while we were there last week. Maybe it would help alleviate some of the food court crowding if there were two of them. Probably not lol but hey... a girl can dream. Would they have their own bus stops back there too I wonder? hmmmm so many questions.

I think I read on another thread that they are just using some of the parking area for other things like keeping construction equipment.

Yes, the Legendary Years was going to have it's own food court/store and bus stops, just like the All Star Resorts.

I would really love to see them make that section all Family Suites, since it seems that the ones at AS Music fill up so quickly.

I don't think you should hold your breath that they're going to finish it. It's been laying dormant for 7 years. They wouldn't just be able to continue construction, they'd have to tear it down and start over and I don't think they're willing to spend the coin to do that... Unfortunately. I definitely think there's more of a need for another Value resort than for yet another DVC property. IMHO.

Honestly, I don't really know if they're going to ever finish it or not. It would be really nice to see them do it, because they pretty much have the building done - now they just need to work on the interior, and add some embellishment to the outside.
