Hi I rarely bother with room requests but we are meeting my nieces family(2 small boys)is there any need to request room locations does it make that much difference(already requested them together. We wont bother paying for preferred but what do you think of ground floor versus 2nd 3rd or 4th.Also will probably come back in the middle of each day and come home early at night what kind of attractions are at the Pop to interst 2 boys 4 and 6.Thanks Daveb

We've only been in the 60s buildings (preferred) & that pool...the Hippy Dippy pool - is a lot of fun. It has some flowers that spray water. I don't think the other pools do. The 60s pool is also the only one that has a kiddie pool nearby. DS loved that when he was 6. There is also a pop jet fountain nearby that DS7 loves to play in.

I'm not sure if there is a playground on the property.

There is an arcade that we've never been in.

I don't think room level makes much difference, but we've never stayed on the ground floor.

I don't think it makes too much difference where you stay at POP. The 90s buildings are furthest from the food court and arcade if that makes a difference. Other than that, it's pretty quick to get where you want to go. Here is link to a map of POP - http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/pop.htm .

There's a lot of big toy statues with bright coloring that is interesting to young kids. I don't know either if there is a playground or not.

I'd also recommend avoiding a room that faces a pool or a ground floor room if noise is a concern. In March, I stayed in a room facing the Bowling Pin bowl and it was rather noisy late in the evening, even after midnight. Even the air conditioner couldn't drown out the noise. Next time I stay at POP I'll probably get a more remote room.

Yes, there is a playground. It's between the Food Court, Bus Stop, and the 70's Bldg. Also near there is one of the water jet things that shoots water randomly. Big fun.

We have stayed at Pop twice, enjoyed the 70's Bldg both times. It is close to the food court, the "main" Hippy Dippy pool, and the bus stop. We never had any problem with noise (had 3rd and 4th floor rooms).

The kids will likely enjoy just roaming the property seeing all of the huge icons. The "blue slush" machine more than makes it worth getting the refillable mugs for the kids.

Have fun!

I would avoid the 90's buildings as they are quite a hike from teh main building. We stayed in 50's and LOVED it. Great location. If noise is at all a concer, I would not get a ground floor room.
