Has anyone been to POP recently? We are coming in on the 21st of November! Never been to it, only stayed at the Music last year! What kind of rooms should I be expecting and which section should I request? Any tips for this resort and other stuff to do while not at the park would be amazing as well!

All of the rooms at Pop Century have been recently refurbished. They are really nice! The vast majority of rooms are two queen beds. One is a regular bed and the other is a Murphy table bed. So when the bed is up, you have a table. Both beds have the exact same mattress, and both are very comfortable! The floors are a “wood” laminate, and the whole bathroom area is amazing. Rainfall shower head and a second detachable sprayer shower head. The sink area has lots of storage and counter space. The rooms now have coffee makers (!!!), and the tv is very large. My DD and I love these rooms!

If you booked a standard room, we like to request building 10 as it is near food and transportation. Mostly all of the rooms aren’t a long walk, though. The 90s section can feel farther if you don’t cut through the parking lot (which you might not want to do if you have little one).

The threads in both of these links have lots of information:

The second post in this one has a map of the resort.

Enjoy your trip!!

I would go for a preferred room, I was so close to the main building and have booked again for next year a preferred room. I looked at the Caribbean beach resort but its £1240 more and that will pay for the flight

We already booked the standard room, we are also driving in so not sure if some of the buildings have lots or some dont!

Standard rooms are typically closer to the parking lots than Preferred rooms. Think of the resort like the letter C, with the parking along the C itself with the resort in the middle. The preferred rooms are mostly near the center, with the standard rooms around the outside closest to the parking lots. If you booked standard, you should be able to find parking fairly close to your room. I always book standard and unless I've requested a lake view (which is as far from the parking as you can get, for the most part) I have always been very close the parking lots. Even with the lake view rooms, the only time I noticed it being a longer walk to parking was for loading and unloading the car - which you always have the option to use Luggage Assistance for (and I have done that as well).

Room size is similar to what you had at All Star Music. The beds take up the majority of the room but with the new refurbishment the bed now has an open underneath so you can store luggage there. Really adds great space for all the Disney stuff we bring. Large counter area for laying out things like snacks. Refrigerator is small but adequate and is on the bottom of a nice little coffee maker stand. Bathroom is great with lots of storage built in there too. Showers have liquids soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower area...so no little travel size bottles anymore. TV is huuuuuuuggggeeee.

We liked 50's lake view. If we didn't close a park, we would hear the fireworks and then go sit outside our room to watch them. Plus it was pretty to see AoA on the other side of the lake.
Since you're driving stop by bell services and ask to borrow a cart to take your luggage to your room.
We loved Pop so much we're headed back. Just a fun resort to walk around and talk with the kids about what different things there were when we were kids and when their grandparents were first married
