Pop century!

What area of pop century does everyone like to stay in? I know they're redoing the rooms, so I'm curious on everyone's feedback! When are they expected to be finished?

Finished around May 2018, they got a late start so not quite sure if they can catch it up.

I prefer 50's Lake View. Close to all but quiet and pretty view of lake. They will likely be the last ones to be done.

60's is lots of preferred but I don't like being close to the noise and activity. A lake view room would be great but way too long a walk from my car.

I liked 70's, had a lake view and close to main building BUT a long walk from my car with all our stuff.

I do not like the 80's and 90's (where renovation started no surprise) because it's a longer walk if you use paths, I don't like being surrounded by parking lots and that is where they put all the big groups.

I've always requested 50's, fourth floor.

I've stayed in all areas but the 60's and 90's and 50's is our favourite. It could be because that's the section we were given on our first stay.

This trip (coming November) all I've requested is refurb room, fourth floor.

The refurbishment isn't slated to be completed until May 2018 and if they make it within that timeframe I'll be amazed. They don't seem to be in much of a hurry to have these rooms completed.

I have a great TA that I've been using for 10+ years. She just notes my minimal requests on my reservation.

The fewer requests you make the better your chance of having them met.

I love the 90's building we stayed there the week between Christmas and New year's and that area was very quiet, the computer pool was quiet during our entire trip and the walk from our room to the food court took maybe 3 minutes. The parking lot was right next to us and wasn't remotely crowded so even coming back late from Universal we still had absolutely no issue getting a parking spot. We've requested 90's again for our next trip not for the refurbished room but for the location!

I like the 90's too. I too like the quiet area, as the pool area is never really that busy. And despite it seeming far from the main building, if you cut through the parking lot, it really is a quite a short walk! Too bad on my next trip, everyone seems to be requesting a renovated room, which happens to be in that section... I just really like the area, and actually don't care for the new room.

I liked our room in the 70's facing the 80's. Nice and quiet. I always requested 60's lake view but never get it lol.

I like 60's lakeview. So serene. Plus i like being close to the bridge connecting to AoA. Love the food court at AoA. I dont really like 50's lakeview, i find it further than 60's.

60's is my first choice, then 70's, followed by 50's.

I have stayed in buildings 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8. Never preferred. All the locations were fine. Our only complaint was that our room in 4 was as far away from our car as we could be. On the other hand, that room was only one room from the lake. My favorite was building 3, lakeview.
