We are thinking about trying to do Disney again this year. Its been a couple of years last time we stayed in the cabins and loved it. This time I need to cut some cost. How is the Pop Century?

It will be 4 of us total... Me, Wife boy that is 9 and girl 6.

We did like the cabins we could get to MK quick on the boat and that was really nice. We didnt feel like we stayed that much in the room ether.

Planning on coming Dec 7th to 14th..

We went last April (me, DH, DS-20months old) and enjoyed the pool area and the dining. The pool has lots of fun activities for kids. The downside for me was the busses- we were in Spring Break mode at the end of our trip and the busses got very full. At the beginning of the trip, though, we rarely waited to get on and always got a seat. Your kids are old enough to manage on the bus, so I would feel good with a stay at POP.

We went a week later in Dec last time and had no waiting at all until near the end of the week.
How long was the bus ride to MK from pop and was it a straight trip of did they stop at other resorts?

You will absolutely LOVE Pop!!!!! When I first went to disney we stayed at POFQ. The last two times we went we were more on a budget trip so we tried POP and fell in love. Love the theming, the pool, food court, the staff, everything. Never had any problems at all. We always go in June and the buses are what they are. No worse than the buses at POFQ. Sometimes you have to wait, sometimes you don't. Go, and have fun!!!!!! Check out the POP thread, tons of info and reviews! ;).

Bus ride from POP to MK is about 15 min. there are multiple routes the driver can take, some are more effecient than others and of course there's always traffic. ;) POP buses are a straight shot they do not stop at other resorts. Now the DTD/TL makes different stops on one run but not at another resort. And IIRC, the AK run stops at BB but it's been awhile since I've taken the bus from POP to AK so I could be mistaken on that. POP has some of the best bus service on property because it doesnt share with any other resort. Good Luck with your planning!

My only issue (which is the same problem at any value) is the double beds. I can't sleep in a double bed with my husband. Call me spoiled but it's too tight. So that leaves us each sleeping with one of our kids, which isn't ideal, either. The lack of queen beds in the values is something that everybody should be aware of.

If you can swing it I would try and do a moderate instead. Maybe you can get a discount.

Yea this would be the only issue at POP I might have, other than that, I love the resort.
