Pop Century

Did Pop Century finally open? If not, does anyone know when it is scheduled to open?

Isn't a tentative date set for October? But I wouldn't count on that.

The last time I was there, a Bus driver told me either Dec. 2002 or Jan. 2003! I am hoping its open by Feb. 1 as this is when I go in 2003!

I was hoping that they would blow it up and start over. It really is hideous.

I don't know, Eeyore2U, I think it would be the perfect resort to house large tour groups of cheerleaders and Pop Warner groups and such.

How close is it to BWV or VWL, my DVC homes. The farther away the better. I worry about the Pop Warner and Cheerleaders. The temporary blindness might hurt in competition.

I hope they move the groups to Pop Century. After three Decembers of Pop Warner football players, we are not going back in December. All Star Resorts were over run with unruly boys. Problems is when making reservations, they will not tell us groups were going to be there. Even on check in last time they told us the groups were coming "later" which turned out to be in two days.

Where is Pop Century exactly? On our last day we took at quick ride to see it (no planning here) and thought it was with the other All Stars. We didn't see it and didn't have time to go looking for it. I have heard so many "good" things about it!
