Pop Century vs ASMovies

I originally booked ASMovies for free dining in Sept. We needed to change the dates of our trip. Today I booked Pop free dining because I couldn't get ASMovies without getting a preferred room - 2 rooms for 7 days adds up. So, for those who have stayed at both, which one do you prefer?

I've stayed at both, and I prefer Pop. I hated that ASMo shared buses with the other All-Star resorts.

The theming at Pop is just as fun and the rooms are similar. Plus--Pop offers tie dye cheesecake! Yummy!

I stayed at both. I enjoyed them both but Pop was better. They dont share buses with any of the othee All Star hotels. Plus I think the theme is more retro. And now you can go walk over to Art of Animation and see the design of that one.

We've stayed at Music, Movies, and POP and I can honestly say we loved the POP a million times more!!! The bus situation at the parks was so much more reliable than the AS resort busses and it just seemed so much nicer than the AS resorts as well.

We've stayed at both and also prefer Pop! To date, it's our favorite value, though we may try AoA next year.

It's a toss up. The theming for both is great. I like the fact that ASMo is smaller than Pop. It makes it easier to get around. However, sharing buses can be a pain especially since ASMo is the last one picked up and dropped off. They don't always share though.

I prefer the theme at movies. However I prefer the layout of the foodcourt/lobby/etc... of POP.

I stayed at POP for 2 years in a row and really despised their bus service, so I tried AsMu and it was nothing special..I really disliked the look and layout of the foodcourt, then I tried AsMo and loved it! We enjoyed our stay there so much (non preferred room in Herbie section), that we were staying there again for our upcoming trip. But instead we broke the bank and are staying at AoA.

Here's one thought, withteh all stars, we found it was often easier to simply get off at a different stop. The resorts LOOK far apart,but they are actually quite close. It also depends where your room is located. If it is in a certain section, the walk from teh ASMu stop might even be closer to your room. for that reason, I like ASMu because it's in the middle.

Then again, Pop also has it's pluses. In my mind, Pop is better if you have a car. While you get three food courts at the AS, the food court at Pop is big, plus you cold go to the new resort.

If Ilook online, Pop is looking tobe the more popular of the two. But that's also means it's more crowded.

I haven't yet stayed at either but my DH hates all things 70's so he'll be much happier with our upcoming stay at ASMo (he actually picked ASSp but DD won out).
