well overall it was just average for us. Cute themes all over and the kids enjoyed the pool but Im not sure we would stay there again. :confused3 The staff there were very pleasant and helpful all over the resort. we had problems with the keys working one day and locked out the next. I had runners come right away. we were in the 80's section overlooking the computer pool. It did get loud at night even at 12am. it seemed to be a far walk for the kids to get to the other pool, bus stop and food court. I ended up using the stroller some days. The food court was very busy for us and the food was okay. My daughter was so happy they served mac and cheese. :) the lines for the buses were way crowded and I ended up driving to mgm and the animal kingdom. I didnt realize I needed to bring towels to the pool and forgot the 1st day. also didnt realize there wasnt a blow dryer or coffee maker in the room. My fault also since I should of read the thread more closely. anyhow for the money that I paid I think I would of tried for a moderate. this was the 1st time I wasnt able to get a fla rate or ap and at $110 with tax a night I was disappointed. If it was $59 a night I may have felt otherwise ;) anyhow I guess thats why disney has so many resorts to choose from.

We are leaving for Pop tomorrow. I had hoped we wouldn't need our stroller to get around the resort. Do you think if you had been in a different building you could have gotten around with out the stroller? What area of the resort would you reccomend 50's or 70's? Did your children like the pop jets or the kiddie pool better?

I thought the 70's would of been better. Mine swim so they enjoyed the big pool with the flower sprayers. the 1st day we were there the pop jets were not working and dd spent like 5 minutes in the baby pool. at the end of the day it was a far walk even for me to hike back and forth.

Sorry it wasn't what you expected! Maybe next time! :)

Being a single female traveling alone..I got lucky with a room not once but twice in the 50's Building which was close to the main check-in,foodcourtand bowling pin pool...short walking distance to the Main pool and bar. very convienent and saved alot of mazing through the Resort...

I've just returned after spending two nights at POP, five nights at BWV, then a final two nights at POP (May13th-May22nd). I rented points for BWV and was able to get an AP rate for POP. I guess I was lucky. I got room # 1312 and it was great. I was on the third floor of the Lady building (50s) in a corner room, right next to the stairwell. Standing right outside my room I could look to the right and see the bowling pin pool and looking to the left I could see the main Hippy Dippy pool. But both were far enough away that I never heard any pool noise. I guess because most people with kids have strollers and use the elevators I never heard any noise by my door either. It was very quiet, yet convenient to everything. Using the stairs I was only about two minutes from the food court. The only way I could have been closer to the main building would have been if I was in the same room on the second or first floor. I loved the room so much, that when I checked out to go to the BWV I stopped by check-in and asked what my chances would be to get in the same area when I returned in five days. The CM was great and said she would see what she could do about getting the room blocked off for me. Well, when I checked back in, five days later, I received the exact same room (#1312). Because of the time I left in the mornings (early PS or tours) and the fact that I returned prior to parks closing I never had any problem with the buses. In fact, I only remember one bus where anyone stood and that was after a 5:00pm PS at AK Rainforest Cafe. I was pleasantly surprised with POP. I didn't think I would like a value resort, but it was really cute and the CMs were wonderful. Also, even though I was traveling solo this trip, I received four towel animals 5/14 and three 5/21. I didn't receive any towel animals at BWV, nor for that matter did I recieve any this past January when I stayed at WL or AKL.

I had the exact same room Aubriee and to top it off,on my second visit to POP I had the room directly across from there on the other side facing the Main Building.
Take the stairs they are much quicker and soooo very convienent. The best location @ POP.

Im sure if we would of been closer it would of been easier on me ;)
the crowds really got to me.Standing in a long line for a cup of coffee wasnt my idea of fun! Im not used to it when we stay at the CSR. It was hard with two kids and a stroller but I did it. we did get towel animals and that excited the kids. the staff were wonderful but it was lacking a few things like the towels at the pool, coffee maker and frig in the room. If there was a chance I could get a better rate next time and not spend $100 a night- we may go back there when its not so crowded.
