Thanks for posting!

We walked over 10 miles yesterday!! Thank goodness for the fit bit.

Yay! Another Fitbit user :) We averaged well over 20,000 steps/day when we were at Pop in September, and that was with DH in a cast!

We had similar MB problems and I would strongly advise you to have them "strip" all other tickets (party etc) off the MB's and put them on cards. It took 4 days before a CM tried this for us, but it solved all my issues with the bands. Good luck!

I told my DH, when we go next time I'm bringing a pedometer so we can see how much we walked. I swear we walked a 100 miles lol

There used to be a layout map of the property that included the room numbers. If there is ( and I'm sure it's in here somewhere) can someone please repost it for me. After finding out that the LM rooms are about 1/4 mile from the food court and buses at AoA (and the following comments" And I dare say we were closer to the AoA food court in our Pop 60s room than someone staying in the Little Mermaid section" and "We stayed at Pop, 60's room in August. We stayed in a LM room in October at AofA. We were much closer to the food court at AofA when we stayed at Pop, then when we stayed in a LM room", looks like we will be returning for our 3rd visit to POP.

Out of all the times we've been we've never watched the movie. Just wondering if this is the same thing every week or does change each week?

It changes slightly due to the changing times of the sunset. They like to run the movie once the sun goes down.

These movies will run every week through November. The movies change monthly.

DH and I spent the 25th to Nov 1 at Pop. I have to say we were very unhappy with the changes at POP and you combine them with the MB changes and we were fed up most of the week. We were in the 30's building ground floor facing the lake, no complaints there! Then we enter the room and need to meet our DD and her husband at SOG to buy park tickets. We drop our carry ons in the room, DH throws our money in the safe and locks it, as he is removing the key the core of the safe comes with it! A quick call to maintenance and were told because it involves the safe we have to wait for maintenance, we told them we would call when we got back as we had to meet the kids. We stopped at the front desk on the way to grab a cab to ask for a fridge, we were told it was a request only and they would see if one was available but there was no guarantee. When we get back from shades there are fridges outside each door of the 30s building and they were installing them. DH picked ours up and carried it in and plugged it in. For the rest of the week it made this noise on and off, sort of like a low pitch tea kettle it was the last day there that I figured out the noise was coming from the fridge but it woke me up off and on all week! Next we head to the food court and I see the changes, I was really unhappy with most of the changes there but we have talked about most of those in this thread but really, no cheese fries! Vacation is the only place I eat those!!!! My biggest problem was wine. They have done away with the individual bottles of wine and have gone to a wine blend. They have a white and a red and they are the most vile tasting wine EVER MADE!!! Think skunk water, I mean really, really bad. I am not a wine snob by any stretch of the imagination but this stuff is baaad!
As the week went on the maintenance guys "fixed" the safe twice and the shower head broke so they had to come and replace that too. Then the day before we left we noticed the rug in the shower/sink area was wet so again we called maintenance and went out for our last day, we came back to meet other members of our family who were in the area for a bite and drinks. The rug was more wet than when we left so yet another call to maintenance. We spent a few hours at the bar area eating visiting and having a few drinks and then headed back to our room and by this time that area was flooded. We had to keep our shoes on to get to the bathroom and back ( not very magical in the middle of the night) Our last morning there I showered but didn't wash my hair because I would be standing in a puddle of water to blow dry it. At this point we called the manager and asked him to come to our room so he would see the flooded carpet himself. Of course he didn't come but he called and said he would look into it. He called the day after we got back and said he was sorry for our trouble and was going to credit us for a night.
The magic bands were a whole other problem that cost me another few hours of my vacation trying to resolve issues. It was the first time ever that I was happy to leave Disney and head home.

Just to be clear, which building were you in? They don't have a 30's section that I know of. Sorry you were not happy. At least you were credited.

Hey everyone, we are going to be t Pop in 38 days and when I was making our final payment the other day I noticed that they had my DM and my DD in a roo with a king bed. We had requested a roll in shower because my mum at 83 will have difficulties getting up over the bath to shower. When I called this morning, I was informed that the only accessible rooms were the ones with King beds. I remember when I made our bookings that the room that I requested had both a King and a double. I have now had to change my the room to a standard 2 bed room cause even though my 14 DD loves her Grandma, she won't share a bed with her. And I am going to have to get my mum in and out of the shower. Any help or suggestions folks?????

I'm sorry, but it is correct that the only accessible rooms have a king bed. And it's also true that Pop only has 2 room configurations, 1 king or 2 doubles. Other than getting a king for your mom and a room with 2 doubles for you and your DD, I don't know what else you could do.

Bugger. Oh well I guess I will just have to help the old girl...lol. Been a while since we have shared a bathroom. Hahahaha.

Here's the map with building numbers
http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/PopCenturyMap.pdf

This might help, too. It shows which rooms have king beds, connecting rooms, etc.
http://photopost.wdwinfo.com/data/1329/popcenturyroomlayoutlarge.jpg

Each room number is 4 digits. The first digit is the building number, the second digit is the floor number (1-4) and the last two numbers correspond to the numbers on that map.

So room number 1250 would be building 1, second floor, room 50.

Here's the map that has building numbers:

I just came back from our firts stayed at POP. 11 days.
We had a fridge upon request but no problem at that.
I really like the food at the food court at POP, even in the morning it seems like it was pretty crowded, the lines moves fast. We went one night to dinner at AOA and We don't like it at all.
Our room, was always clean. Old bedding.
The staff very kind, always.
MB work great for us.
The weather was extraordinary. No rain. No very hot.
MNSSP was very crowded, we went in Nov. 1 and it was the last one, I think I will never go again to that party at the same week at halloween.
Definitely we return to POP for our next trip.

Dansdad, don't you think they could ask for a rollaway for the King room? I know there are only a limited number of rollaways, but I think in this instance, Pop would try to accommodate them. That's another option.
