The soft drink machines count your refills. But the coffee and hot chocolate don't get registered. We are sitting at the airport now and my husband and I both got a cup of coffee before we left POP and our QSDP ended last night.

How would you rate the new coffee at pop ??? Debating still if I should bring my coffee pot or not.

I like it on the dark side a tad.

Last night I was too excited to sleep and we don't leave until Wednesday! My Disney OCD is kicking in bigtime this weekend!!!!

I found the coffee horrible. It was not a dark roast at all and typical of a bad coffee shop or diner. Tried to help it out with the fake Disney Splenda and it went from bad to worse. That said I wouldn't cart your own coffee pot. Take advantage of some good options in the park. Or bring your own cream and/ or sugar to help disguise the taste.

If you can't wait until you get to the parks, you can bring a one cup coffee maker that won't take up a lot of luggage space. My DH packed one like this and he actually uses it everyday at home. Super simple / no filter.

Reading through these posts and couldn't find the answer...is there pork sausage at the Food court? I cannot eat chicken sausage....just not right....in a lot of different ways.....still Disney dreaming....too far away....where is the hyper-sleep when you need it?

Coffee's been a big question mark for me, too. I like dark roast, but am OK with "good enough" coffee (e.g., McDonald's). Nescafe didn't make the cut, but I'm hoping the new stuff will.

Any other opinions on the new coffee? Is it decent enough to do the job?

I'm 99% sure its totally ok to bring your own alcohol to the pool, both morally and policy-wise. We always toss a few bottles of wine in the suitcases for pool time!

Okay, I don't really know the official answer, but we sat around the pool ALOT in August and I never saw any "drink police". I did see a lot of refillable mugs around the pool though. One never really knows what's inside them.

Regarding drinking by the pool. The only thing you could not do was drink near the pool deck. You have to keep all drinks at the chairs. My husband was sitting at the edge of the pool and dipping his feet in and had his empty refillable mug next to him. The lifeguard told him he couldn't have that there even after my DH let him know it was empty. He was told that if one person saw it then they would think they could do it because they wouldn't know it was empty.

We just left POP and my DH and I sat by the pool with drinks in one of the plastic cups from the room. Go for it we actually bought a bottle of Captain Morgan Long Island Ice Tea for $19.99 at everything POP. That was good for a few drinks for us a piece. And the price wasn't too bad.

Thanks to all for the info. Couple of follow-up questions, for anyone to weigh in on...

1. The answers so far seem to involve filling up a resort mug with your beverage of choice. Is it OK to bring a chilled can of beer, cider, wine cooler, etc to the pool from your room, or is the expectation that guests maintain a certain 'mystery' regarding their drink selection?

2. Does all this apply only to the Hippy Dippy Pool, where drinks are served, or can alcoholic beverages be consumed (in your lounge chair) at any of the pools at POP?

Beer is allowed in the pool area as long as its plastic or an aluminum bottle (no glass for safety reasons). As far as I know, guests are allowed drinks at all Pop pools. Again as others have mentioned, when the mugs are used, no one would know what anyone is drinking

And I would us a little discretion and not bring a whole case of beer at one time. perhaps a small soft sides cooler might be good to have along.

And as already mentioned, no drinking poolside, again for safety reasons.

I have not seen the schedules posted yet where I usually can find them. Janet B does a great job of updating this thread and posting the Pop schedule on the first page once it is released so check back there Mon or Tues.

My sister and I (we're 23 and 25 ) plan on having a Dalmatian party when we have 101 days left! We're going to watches 101 Dalmatians and eat "spotted" pancakes (chocolate chip).

Well I guess we will have to do that next time! That is the cutest thing. Last year before we went we watched as many Disney movies as we could find at Blockbuster, which was really fun.

Just ordered a case of bottled water via Amazon to arrive at Pop on our arrival day Wednesday. That makes a bottle of water $0.68 per bottle. Booya!

Is anyone going in the next couple of weeks able to get MB's? I didn't know if POP was doing those yet? We just booked a quick trip yesterday but it isn't showing MB's on MDE? Maybe because our arrival date is so soon (arrive 16th but just booked yesterday)??

Has anyone ever successfully recovered lost PhotoPass photos? I just realized that our BBB and Chef Mickey photos are missing from my webpage. I emailed two different lost photo forms, but I was wondering how successful Disney is at finding these lost photos. I'm pretty bummed.

I booked on Thursday to arrive on the 15th and was able to customize mb's. I got the email Friday after I already ordered them telling me I was selected for testing.
