How does the refillable mug work? Can you get coffee for free each morning?

Yes. You can refill the mug with anything at the self service area of the resort you are staying in for the length of your stay. This includes coffee, soda, etc.

We're currently sitting at the Hippie Dippy Pool eating and waiting for our DME pick-up (definitely tears earlier as we left MK) and watching all the kids play a game that involves them clipping fake piranhas to their mothers :rotfl:

:( Last days are difficult. Sounds like the piranahas game lifted your spirits a bit! :goodvibes

Just booked a spur of the moment trip for Nov 15-18 requested 50s top floor. Lady and tramp is my favorite movie so fingers crossed I get that section

:yay: Love the spur of the moment trips! I did just that for 2 days at the end of Sept. Squeezed the Halloween party in to!

Checked in to Pop last night. As usual, we we're put in the 90s although I requested to be by the lake. Ended up with a room in building 4. Not really by the lake but very convenient to the food court. The CM at check in was very nice and now knows that Pop does have box fans available :) the CMs working at the burger station were having a huge argument while we waited to order. Very unprofessional, burgers were barely warm when we got them. No ice in machines at soda stations. The food court was not busy at all at 9:00. Food court gets 2 thumbs down, everything else is great so far. Fridge but no new bedding. KTTW cards given without asking. No line at check in.

I know people ask about milk all the time. A pint ( only come in whole) was $2.55. There are quarts in skim, whole and 1 or 2 percent - they cost as much as your room for the night! Seriously, i will check the price next time we go through.

Off to Epcot for the day.

Happy you were moved to Bldg 4, the 60s our favorite location. :) btw if not a lake view and you had a standard room, you may have been upgraded. :) That's a shame about the food court antics, hoping its a one time thing for you.

BTW, a half gallon of milk is $2.99 for anyone who is interested. :)

Here right now and have 3 more days left. We're in building 3 lake view. Able to watch fireworks outside our room. This is our second stay here and having a great time. We have a fridge but not sure about bedding. It looks like the old bedding but not worn. Disappointed with the food court. I remember it being better last time.

We did today and there was a little more variety for the kids and the build your own pasta was pretty good.

Tramp is another favorite bldg. We stayed there twice (with a lake view). Sorry about the food court issues, happy that it had a good meal today. :)

We arrive next week and from what you said we may have to venture over to the AOA food court just to check it out. Enjoy your stay!!!!

AOA is great, we went over in Sept and had breakfast. :) And its always a treat to explore this resort. :cool1:

Yes. You can refill the mug with anything at the self service area of the resort you are staying in for the length of your stay. This includes coffee, soda, etc.

Yes, sodas, coffee, tea, lemonade, are all available. For the filling staions (i.e. soda and lemonade), the mug is set on a pad underneath the desired drink. The RFID chip is read and you then you are able to dispense your drink.

There are tiers levels for purchasing your refillable mug (if you are on the dining plan, then the mug is included).

Thanks so much! We do have the dining plan, so we should be able to get free beverages from our resort for our entire stay, correct?

I am so glad we have the Tables In Wonderland Card for 20% off the refillable mugs. I know this is sorta kinda off topic but since we are arriving next week its on my mind. Carry on.

:drinking1

We've eaten at the food court a lot this week and it was good. I had the pork shank tonight and ut was really yummy. The pizza bread was kinda chewy when we had it but everything else has been good.

It's official....12 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!! Who hoo....now I'm getting really excited to hop in the car and Go! : )

We have 9 days til we get to Disney. We are leaving late next Saturday night and driving down. We are so excited.

I have a question I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere else...

Just saw the prices for beer at Petals bar. Reasonable for a bar, I guess, but much more than you would pay at a grocery store. So here it is...is it OK to bring your own beer to the pool, provided it's in a plastic or aluminum (i.e., non-breakable) container? We'll be at POP for 11 days, so the savings of BYOB vs. bar prices would be substantial. Also, it would open the door to brands not available at Disney.

I recognize there may be two answers to this question: One that summarizes Disney's formal policy on the matter, and another that reflects actual practice. Or it could be there's no difference. Either way, I'd love to know the answer.

Yes, there will be a credit for a mug for every person on the dining plan. You redeem them in the food court and get free refills at your resort for the length of your stay.

I'm 99% sure its totally ok to bring your own alcohol to the pool, both morally and policy-wise. We always toss a few bottles of wine in the suitcases for pool time!

Actually the new policy is you can refill your mug at any resort....So if you feel like carrying it somewhere (i.e. AoA because you want to eat at that food court. Well you can refill your mug there too.) That is a change in the policy. It used to be only at the resort where the mug was purchased! :)

Okay, I don't really know the official answer, but we sat around the pool ALOT in August and I never saw any "drink police". :rotfl:

I did see a lot of refillable mugs around the pool though. One never really knows what's inside them. ;) :drinking1

Regarding drinking by the pool. The only thing you could not do was drink near the pool deck. You have to keep all drinks at the chairs. My husband was sitting at the edge of the pool and dipping his feet in and had his empty refillable mug next to him. The lifeguard told him he couldn't have that there even after my DH let him know it was empty. He was told that if one person saw it then they would think they could do it because they wouldn't know it was empty.

We just left POP and my DH and I sat by the pool with drinks in one of the plastic cups from the room. Go for it :) we actually bought a bottle of Captain Morgan Long Island Ice Tea for $19.99 at everything POP. That was good for a few drinks for us a piece. And the price wasn't too bad.

The soft drink machines count your refills. But the coffee and hot chocolate don't get registered. We are sitting at the airport now and my husband and I both got a cup of coffee before we left POP and our QSDP ended last night.
