POP Century~Unofficially the Grooviest FAQ Thread #8~July 2013

Question.... Last year when we went to Disney for 6 days I packed a bunch of snacks for the kids in my luggage. Everyday I threw some in the park backpack, but never used them. Is it worth the luggage space to pack this stuff, or just leave it at home? We are going for 9 days this time.

When my daughter was young (pre-middle school), I would take snacks and use them in the parks. At the end of the trip, the snack suitcase then became the suitcase to use for all of the stuffed animals and other memorabilia we bought.

I found it to be worth the space & effort.

8 days. Can't wait. Weather has finally cooled down, so I can start packing. To excited. :)

I hear ya!! If the weather stays this way ill be packing for our October trip!!
:)

We will be at POP the middle of Dec. Will the testing of magic Bands still be going on for Pop? If so, do you have to be asked to participate? Thanks for answers.

What is the best thing about the POP resort?

I agree with Sandi! The bus system at Pop is awesome. We never waited more then five minutes for a bus during our entire 13 day stay.

I also love the ladies who led the kids in the daily pool activities.

At this time nothing has been stated regarding November an December testing. If there is testing at POP then everyone is included.

Quick question, no time to look. Sorry as I'm sure it's an obvious answer, but are there hair dryers in the rooms and if so, do they work ok?
They have built in hairdryers that are attached to the wall. I use them to dry my hair but I don't usually style it too much, just use it for drying purposes and it works fine. My mom likes to style her hair with the hair dryer so she brings hers from home. Of course if it is hot and you are going to AK don't bother. The humidity level at that park negates any hair styling efforts in about 20 seconds.

40 days!!!

My oldest picked POP so I think she and her brothers will be happy. I'm just worried about the adults on the trip because we were so spoiled at Beach Club last time. I know I'm being silly - it's just a place to sleep and the real magic will be in the time we spend awake and out of the room.

I confirmed my Garden Grocer delivery, stroller rental, ressies and fast passes set. I am going with an infant, I sure hope that warrants one of the special fridges. I guess we'll see!

I'm going to help DD make a countdown chart tonight and start hauling out the suitcases for preliminary packing. (our Summer is long over so I can pack it easily!)

princess::bride: (DD is helping me type)

Thanks so much to this thread for helping me get prepared and in the Disney mood!!

Are you arriving on Nov 17th as well?

I am! 17-23 :yay:

Ok so our Pop Party is almost totally planned - thanks for the suggestions, we are definitely going to try doing the hustle :thumbsup2 , we'll make some window/door decorations, watch Roger Rabbit (which I have not seen since I was a kid so it has been awhile and I barely remember it - wonder if it will entertain my two younger ones?) and some here mentioned worms and dirt as a dessert so we will make that. Just not sure about dinner, might just have pizza :confused3

I love the 'what do you love about Pop' question but since this is our first trip there I don't have anything to add but can't wait to read some replies.

For me the blow dryer works great! I have a short hairstyle so it doesn't take much for my hair to get dry.

We leave this Saturday after my nephews birthday party! I'm so excited and almost finished packing! I can't wait for our 1st on-site trip and so glad it will be with POP! I've heard the pools are open all night, is that true?

I am so excited, only 4 more days (3 more days of work) and I just found out I have extra money to spend.
