I'm on a business trip and in speaking to hubby last night we got a letter from Disney. It informs us about the refrigerator problem and it also states we will not have a refrigerator for our stay. We arrive 21 Sep. The letter does not mention any refund or compensation for the lack of fridge. Has anyone else received a similar letter?

They are sending the letter out to everyone. Its just a basic generic letter. The credit is not mentioned cause you have to ask for it and even then you might get the run around.

Our last trip I packed our beach towels and the girls princess dresses in Space Bags! Saved soooooo much room in our suitcase!

Do you need to bring beach towels? Can we use the ones from the room at the waterparks?

He's amazing! We got ours about 8 hours before the email telling us they had shipped!

Us too! :thumbsup2

Kelly, if you are still around, how is the magic band testing going? (And I'm sorry that POP was a let down for you this time. I think it might be for us as well since we had such a great POR stay in June. But the price is right at Pop for these quick in an out trips so we keep coming back! :))

Thank you. I was hoping it'd be less than an hour. We leave in 2 weeks...maybe with the lower crowd numbers and the fact that I have linked my plane tickets with DME, it will go quicker. One can hope, haha!! I'll be sure to allow the extra time though.

What about getting to DTD? I hear it's brutal...I'm planning on leaving POP about 4:00 to go to DTD for our arrival night (Thursday 9/12)

What I think is brutal is the wait at DTD to get a bus to Pop -- or, quite frankly, nearly any of the other resorts. They just do not run as frequently and the lines for Pop, especially, can get really long. We were there earlier this month and were waiting at the Marketplace stop at DTD for a bus to BWI. It was a 45 minute wait. During that time, I think we also never saw a bus for Pop. There were probably 5 buses for SSR -- a resort to which you can walk from DTD -- and 4 OKW buses IN A ROW -- and that's a resort for which there are also boats. We were just about to go get a cab when our bus came.

I can't really answer about the water parks because we have yet to visit one (kiddos are 5 & 2, and anything water related at this point is too stressful for me!), but we bring them for the pools! We all just like wrapping up in some big fluffy beach towels when we're done swimming and the room size towels just don't cut it for us!

Yes, you can bring your Pop room towels with you to the water parks. They aren't going to be as big as beach towels, but you can bring them as towels to dry off, put on chairs, etc. You should plan to bring them back to Pop with you though.

Such an awful stay. 1st my name is spelled wrong 4 times as we check in which I could over look even though it wasted 30 minutes then the very elderly lady in the food court had no idea how to give us mugs on the dining plan. So 4 people later and another 30 minutes wasted. Could over look this too but then we split up and my boytoy goes to our room remembering the guy at check in told us 4th floor building 4 dragg

When I call to get a manager I'm put on hold and forgotten about so I call the main number and they are busy and a manager will be with me soon 45 minutes later I'm so mad and almost late for dinner so I hang up. Grrrr. Neber again

Just booked my 3rd stay at the pop for the longest vacation ever. I will be staying 10 nights/11 days at the wonderful resort... Pop

I'm sitting by the hippy dippy pool right now and I have to say, the ladies that coordinate the poolside activities for the kids are awesome! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I agree they are doing that water balloon pop game.
I am over doing laundry right now in the 60s laundry room. :laundy:

I am in the Hawaiian dress with white purse. :wave2:

I'm wearing a brown shear bathing suit cover and busted sunglasses (I quickly tossed them into my purse this morning before I got on the RnR and I scratched up the lense pretty good) So I can only see with one eye now! :lmao:

Yes boytoy. Why not. We aren't married. He did not see the elevator until after.

almost all the building s at disney have elevators. I say almost. there are none at Carribbean beach. well, glad you finally got settled in.
also, it's always better to go down to the front desk if you have a problem.. when you call, you are really talking to a central call center, not the actual front desk. just for future reference.

Hi everyone!

I wasn't sure where to ask this, but this thread has been so helpful so far. I booked reservations for my friend and I (19 days out!!) and she isn't able to access our reservations on MDE.:badpc::furious: It won't let her link reservations or anything even though I've "invited" her to see everything.

Does anyone know how she'll be able to see everything other than me giving her my login?

Thanks in advance! I'm so excited to check into POP for the first time in a couple weeks!!!pixiedust:
