hey all!
Well we just got back from our trip! What a great time

Where are some of my random thoughts. I plan on doing a trip report for the whole trip with photos. Once that's started I'll include the link in my signature.
Arrived at POP at May 15 at about 1230pm.
Check in was very quick and efficient. I was in building 1, 4th floor.
I had requested 50's section and close to transportation. So that worked for us.
We ended up having to switch rooms late our on first night (to read about that check out my post #2769 on page 185). That room was just as nice as the first. Perhaps better.. lol something about the beds being on the left side of the room that just seems more natural for us. Not sure why.
We did swim the first day before heading to MK. The bowling pin pool was perfect like I thought. Lots of stairs for the boys to play in that area. Since after a few feet it's too deep for them to really "play" Nice and quiet just how I like it. I'm glad we didn't end up staying near the Hippy Dippy Pool. It was generally busy, and that would have been too much for us. We ended up using the pool I think 3 times during our trip. Including the last day when we swam in the rain
Weather the first 4 days was SUPER hot. by 1030 it was 100 degrees. It was not this hot last year when we went.
We ate in the Pop Food Court a few different times. Food was good. Make your own tacos was great (4 of them!) Easy to split with my oldest child. The ice cream sandwhiches were AMAZING there. Better than Hollywood Scoops at HS. Mom was able to get the glueten free foods she needed with no problems. Only frustration for her... Wanting coffee to take to the park, but not wanting to take the mug to the park. (The first day she did this and the stroller tipped over and got coffee all over everything). CM's would give her a cup if she wanted to fill her MUG and then pour it into the cup. But it was just frustrating to make the trek back to the room to return the mug. And she isn't a morning person to go out and do this first thing. I tried to be helpful but found it annoying since I don't drink coffee at all! LOL And buying it at the park was pointless since you can't take it on any of the rides. Anyway, she dealt with it, but I know it irked her.
Gift shop was great. CM's were always helpful and nice. As was front desk and conceirge. I made all these great plans before leaving home, and we ended up switching days at parks and had to cancel several ADR's and book new ones. So much for all my hard work planning. LOL
The housekeeping MANAGER in our building of POP was just AMAZING. He was a very nice, caring man. He had an electric Hepa Filter brought into the room when my mom was having a hard time with the smell of cleaners (headaches) and then made a note for our room to only be cleaned with vinegar and baking soda to reduce odors. He told us to keep the Hepa Filter for the week. Made for some great white noise (but mind you we were in such a quiet area anyway). He left me 2 voice messages over the week to make sure everything was perfect during our stay. And he stopped by the room on our departure day to wish us a safe trip and thank us for coming. I can't say enough about what a great CM (and person in general) this man is.
We did walk over to AoA one day to eat in their food court. I loved the theming of everything as we we walked by. And while their food court had some great selections, for US, we preferred the POP food court. AoA was very beautiful, but I don't think I would be staying at that resort. I would book POP again in the future, or maybe try CBR.
Hmmm, not sure what else to say about POP. IF you have any questions feel free to ask. And like I said, I'll be doing a much more detailed trip report.
I hope everyone was a GROOVY day
