Have fuuuun!!! I have 200 days left. :)

For those currently at Pop or who have been there recently. Can you tell me if they sell 1/2 gallon of milk, cream cheese & box of donuts/bag of bagels? We are staying on Disney property for the 1st time, checking in on the 15th & ideally would like to eat breakfast inside our room to save time/money. We are flying in so bringing milk, cream cheese, etc is not an option.

They don't sell bags of bagels. We pack a bag of bagels for each trip, actually, for an in-room breakfast as you're planning. We like peanut butter vs. cream cheese so we pack a jar of peanut butter.

Oh I've almost blown it a 1000 times. My husband and I even talk about the trip right in front of them. LOL My 7 year old is always oblivious, so they don't have a clue.

We've been talking a lot about our trip to the farm in Iowa to visit family. That is in June, so that has kept me from blabbing a bit.

Hey!! Im a Marla too n going to pop 8/25_30!! Nice to meet u!!

Wow!! would lube the chance to stay at AOA if they offered!! , does anyone know if they have a late check out??

We just got back! We paid for a plain preferred room and got building 5 facing the kiddie pool (that's under construction). We had rooms 5106 and 5107 and it was perfect. Steps away from the main pool but not right in front to hear any noise. It was also close to AoA (steps to the bridge). We took their bus a couple times from DTD. We would stay in that section again FOR SURE

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards
Just got home Saturday-was in room 5408. Noticed they had poured the concrete on half of the kiddie pool by the time we had left.

3 days until we check into POP for the first time!!!!:cool1::cheer2::hyper:
I am super excited. While we have done WDW before we have not stayed at POP or gone in May!
Just mother/daughter trip....woo hoo
My trip was a mother/DD trip-they are wonderful!

Me too!!! Mother Daughter trip (celebrating her 13 b-day) ... First time in May, checking in on the 14! I have stayed at POP before and my daughter and I loved it. Have fun.
How fun! I'm sure you'll have a great trip too!

Yes, I agree!!
In some ways that new Mickey Check sucks! It has kept some great options off of the new menus for silly reasons IMHO. I understand about offering healthy options but do that have to get rid of ALL of the old CLASSICS?? It's a real bummer!! :(
Agree! I was going to take the time to talk to someone about it but we were non-stop going when we were there so I will email them my thoughts on the menu changes. I did do a rather long survey (on a computer not face to face) at the MK about our dining experiences. For the question "What did you think of the healthy menu options" I picked "I wasn't looking for healthy options".

Agree with you both...why not keep some of oldies but goodies, right? Offer healthier options sure, but don't eliminate the classics -- give people the option... these classics are what make POP different from say another food court and IMO Disney should not take all the individuality away from each resort... whether it be the food menu.. or say frozen coke machine, goofy POP jets...:rolleyes1
I was sad when they took away the frozen coke machine but I understood that it was because they were breaking down. I do NOT understand why they had to take away all the classic items off the dining menus.

Overall we had a great stay at Pop! Good bus service, great mousekeeping, and not the resort can control it but we had near perfect weather.

On Friday the POPulation of Lovebugs at POP was not so pleasant by the pool. And unfortunately I did have a few that managed to fly into my room at various times during the week when we would open the door to enter/exit. I definitely am NOT used to them! LOL!!

I booked this 260 days ago! So I understand how it feels to wait that long :faint:.

And we started a countdown calendar at 100 days to go. :woohoo:

So knowing that in 48 hours we will be walking around Tomorrowland just excites me to know end!!

When you feel like it'll never get here, I promise eventually it arrives :thumbsup2

Ok! I'm trying to be prepared!! lol

Last year we were at All Star Sports at this exact week.
And for the life of me I don't recall seeing these bugs at the parks or the hotel. Except one night when I was standing on the balcony I saw a rather large bug shuddered and ran inside. Perhaps I wasn't looking for them cuz I hadn't heard of them before that trip (I booked only 3 weeks before we went, so I was more focused on tourning plan).

Anyway. Here's hoping they all fly away by time I get there on Wednesday!! ::yes::

Hello everyone!

Just finished online check-in!:banana::banana: DS, DH, and myself were at Pop in 2008 and loved the resort, but it rained the entire time we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the pools or even walk the resort grounds. It was in August during a tropical storm that settled over the Orlando area for the entire week. We are used to some rain every day during the summer months, but this was all day every day! I am hoping for better weather this time so I can really enjoy POP to the fullest!

Last year we stayed at the Beach Club which I loved also, but my DS16 said he actually preferred to go back to POP this time! I think he really liked the food court! Since it is just me and DS going this time POP seemed like a great choice.

Question: When I did online check-in, it showed that my DS did not have charging privileges even though I set up a pin number for him. Is this something I have to add at check-in or did I miss a step. I tried to go back and edit the info, but it still showed up as only myself having charging privileges.

Received our ME package today. Woohoo!! Is there an additional cost for Jedi Training at HS?? I can't find anything online that says there's a fee.

Have a GREAT time! I love May in WDW - the flowers, the "not surface of the sun" heat, lower-ish crowds. Enjoy enjoy enjoy!

As for me - 86 days and (not so patiently!!) counting!

We started this countdown at 302 days out so....we are getting there, at least!

We started our count at 386....we're down to 165. So we're slooooowly getting there!

Quick question as I don't have time to read back....How does one get a coffee maker at the Pop these days. I can't find any swaps. Thanks! :flower3:

We also started our countdown over the 300 mark, we are now down to 130. 19 weeks from today, we will be going to our first ever trick or treat at MK
