We Have Booked The Trails End Buffet And Wonder If Anyone Knows The Best Route Via Wdw Transportation As We Have No Car

Sorry to hijack, but after getting off the ferry - how long a walk are we talking? I've heard some people say you need a golf cart, others say it's a short walk! Any input would be wonderful :goodvibes

Somone may have better idea but I'm fairly certain its 5 minutes for a slow walker.

What you heard about golf carts at FW is is just a general "you need to rent a golf cart to get around the resort because of its size and the fact that you arn't really supposed to drive your car around the park" discussion.

Even if you thought you needed a cart, they are for the day and run something like $50 a day.

Here is a link to a map of FW and you will see that the marinia is #7 on the map and Trails End is #4.

Here is an actual pic of the area.

Thank you sooo much chartle! We have always wanted to check out the Trails End, but people kept telling us it was far too inconvenient. Me thinks this will be the trip to make take the ferry :cool1:

and if time allows, on your way back, get off the boat at the WL and take a walk around there too. Then get on the MK boat to get you back to your POP bus.

Yes its pretty inconvenient to get to now, but people have to remember that FW was one the three original resorts for WDW and a short boat ride from the Poly or the Contemporary got you to the place.

I think this eventual inconvenience getting to FW was one of the down falls of River Country.
