We have ressies at Chef Mickeys early at 730. How does one suggest to getting there that early? I know the buses run an hour before park opens. that day MK does at 8a, so I was hoping to get on the first bus at 7. But would that get us there in time to walk over? or should we just get a cab?

First bus to MK: +- 6:30
Be at bus stop before 6:30
Take bus to MK
Walk to Contemporary

Or take a taxi

When you get on the bus, be sure to tell the driver that you are actually heading to CR, not MK, as in our experience, we have had buses take us all the way to our b'fast destination instead of dropping us/hopping on the boat or monorail.
YMMV

Also, Uber is a great choice. they offer $30 off your first ride.. If you're traveling with another adult, you can keep using each other's codes to et $30 off rides. My DBF and I used Uber our entire trip last month to get between USF and WDW and to dinner reservations and didn't pay more than $5 for any transfer

I think the bolded is the most commonly repeated bit of misinformation about WDW.

Buses start about 6:30 every morning, regardless of park opening.

I would be at the bus stop by 6:30.
