when you check in early does pop have a place to but your luggage until your room is ready?

Yep, all the resorts do. You can just hand them over to the Bell Services people (or whatever they are called at Pop). Then when you can get into your room just stop by their area and take them with you to your room. You will be expected to tip them...so be prepared for about $1 per bag.

Never stayed in a value before, so I think I'm noticing a difference here...Do they not deliver your luggage to your room at PopC like at deluxe resort?

That's my question also. Why do you have to tip if you pick up your own luggage? Is it for storing it?

Stayed at Pop and ASMo.. this is what's done there

Their Bell Service is called Luggage Assist (or is it baggage assist).. anyway.. you can pull up in front of this area and unload your bags. They'll take your name and store them for you. When your room is assigned, within 1 hr your bags will be delivered to your room. If you get there, you can call and check on the delivery time.

Also, on your checkout morning you can call Luggage Assist and they will come pick them up and hold them until you are ready to leave (i.e. you want to go to the parks for awhile after checkout, you have a late flight etc).

when researching POP on the POP FAQ thread a CM posted that tips are not expected by these Luggage Assist guys, its part of their job, but they will accept them if offered.

I find it quicker to take my own luggage when staying at a value resort. It can take quite awhile for your stuff to get to your room if you just call them and ask for it to be delivered. As far as tipping....we figure that the people in Bell Services have taken our stuff away, taken it off the cart, kept it safe, and then lugged it back out when you want it. Maybe it's excessive, I don't know. But it sure makes more sense than tipping the guy who takes my luggage from the towncar at the Polynesian and puts it on one of those rolling luggage carriers. Then someone else takes the luggage to your room. That's two hands out!!!

Thanks catherines_mama for the info. We are planning on arriving early on September 23, and plan to hit the parks as soon as possible. It is good to know that if our room is not ready we can store our luggage, and the fact that they deliver your luggage to the room is icing on the cake.
