Hey, my family is looking to booking a trip to WDW the week of November 9th-November 14th :earsboy: . We were looking at staying at Pop Century and I was wondering what the rates were, and if there were any discounts without having to join anything, or what we had to join to get discounts on rates.

Rack rates are $99 a night for a regular room and $111 for a preferred room

No general discounts have been released yet this year so I doubt they are going to for the rest of the year.

There are AAA rates, but you have to join AAA. Membership can range from 40-70 depending on what state you live in. During that time you would get 15% off your resort. This would bring your rates down to $84/night.

There are also annual passholder rates but you must have an actived annual pass or annual pass voucher to book them online. They also require and immediate NON refundable deposit of one nights stay. If you have to make any changes that cause them to lose money on the total price or change dates there is a $50 change fee. Honestly its best to get an annual pass if you are going for more then 10 days at the parks. Also know that rates may not be available for your date of stay and your resort.

Well....in some cases.

The basic annual pass for 3 adults and 1 child would be about $1620. Then you'd have to pay for a room....so lets say you were able to get 10 nights at $49 per....thats $490 plus tax.

So for 10 nights and 10 days at the parks your cost would be over $2100. I got 10 nights and 10 days of parks (with dining) for under $1800...I saw someone get 2 adults/2 kids/10days w dining for under $1400.....now granted, you'll be able to come back to the parks for a year with the AP, but if you dont, then its not worth it.

Yes but you won't get a room for 49 anymore. The best is 59 during value season. Its more during regular season (which is when the OP is traveling). And those great prices I think are during the free dining promotion, which you can't add on to an AP discounted room. It has to be a package where you get tickets and pay rack rate for your room.

Which makes my point even more. So if your an AP holder the best case scenerio would be the one I presented with the $49 room....so if you pay more for the room, then the total would be more than the conservative price I quoted.

So again....buying an AP doesnt mean its the better deal.
