I know I've seen discussions on this subject before but I'm having a heck of a time finding anything with the search today. If somebody has answers or could point me to a thread that contains answers, that'd be great!

Preferred versus standard room - pros and cons?

"Best" building for 4 adult women staying in two rooms (i.e. no need to be by a kid's pool, etc.) who really need some sleep because they are all chubby yet planning to walk the 1/2 marathon!

Thanks!!

:cheer2:

Preferred : Closer to pools, food court & bus stop / But can also be noiser as a result of being close to all the action

Standard : Generally quieter and more serene / Can be a longer walk to the main buildings and may overlook a parking lot.

Best Building? I'd take the backside of 50's building # 3 over looking the Hourglass Lake!

Building 1 down at the far end of the building got a view of the bowling pin pool but it's quiet back there on the 4th floor. Those used to be smoking rooms back there tho so if that bothers you don't go there.

Non preferred room an yet close to the pool an not a bad walk to main hall and bus stop. We have stayed there several times at the end of building 1 4th floor 3rd floor wasn't bad either.

I agree with Canadian guy. I stayed in the 50'S LADY AND THE Tramp building facing the lake and SpEarth. My room was 3335. It was PERFECT! My GF was in the next room. She couldn't believe this wasn't a preferred location. I requested with 70' or 50's facing the lake. I think many of the preferred buildings are too close to the pools and the noise. For a few more steps I had complete solitude.

We stayed in the room directly above you - 3435 :) One night we saw both MK and IllumiNations at the same time!! Fantastic location...but as of last Feb the rooms were in need of paint and new carpets - it was pretty bad.

Anyway, it is a not a long walk to the bus or food court from that location and nice and quiet.

Bravo on your Marathon walk!!!:cheer2:
