We are staying at Pop next month. We will be staying in two rooms. We have requested connecting rooms but know that that may not happen. We have booked preferred rooms and when doing online check-in I am given an option of requesting '50s or '70s. Are '60s not preferred? Also, which area would you suggest requesting? Thank you!

You can call to request other locations. There is a known error in the app where Pop displays only the 50's or 70's during online check-in. It has been reported numerous times but the error persists.

You may wish to check out the posts on page 1 of the Pop Century thread as it contains a lot of information about the resort.

Information about room locations, etc. can be found in post 2 of that thread.

Depending on how important it is to you to have the connecting rooms, you might not want to make any building requests. Preferred rooms are in buildings 1 and 3 of the 50's section, both buildings in the 60's (buildings 4 and 5), and both buildings of the 70's section (buildings 6 and 10).
They are all good locations but building 1 will be closer to main building and buses, but a bit further away from skyliner.

Yes, good point.

If connecting rooms is important you may wish to make that your only request. Historically if there is more than one option they will try to fulfill at least one so if you really want connecting rooms I'd probably leave it at that.

I would skip the online room request and call in to add it to your reservation. I agree that when you call in to make connecting rooms your first request and then which building you would like as your 2nd request. You can use touringplans to help look at room locations and views.

calling is a call center not at WDW resort would not trust anything you are told as they are known for telling you what they think you want to hear

Not sure what kind of issues you had, but we have 40+ trips and every time I called to add room requests, they were on my file when I called back right before leaving on our trip.
