Pop Century or Regal Palms Resort?

My husband and I are visiting Disney next month. We've never stayed on-site....we're two 30somethings with no children - is Pop Century loud? Tempted to try the on site experience but like the condo experiences we've had in the past so I'm unsure which to do. I've narrowed it down to PC and Regal Palms Resort. Suggestions?

DH and I (both in our 50's) have stayed at POP twice during free dining. We enjoyed the resort. Both times we felt that the staff made it a point to give us a 'quiet' room. Not remote but out of the way. We will be staying offsite next trip because we got a great deal at a Fairfield Inn and the money is very important to us. But we would be back at POP in a heartbeat for the right deal. I love staying on site. You should definitely try it.

We're in our 30's w/ no kids and we've stayed at Pop 4 times.

It can get loud depending on your room location. That's not the fault of the resort though, but the guests and it can happen anywhere. Try to avoid a corner room...that's when it was at the noisiest.

Thanks for your thoughts on this, I appreciate it. Apparently last night I was impatient for the trip....I booked a condo while the boards were down.:goodvibes
I found a deal I couldn't pass up - $59 for a one bedroom condo! (no timeshare speil either - I detest those).
Thanks again.

It can and does happen everywhere. Kids will be kids but the value resorts are very popular for spring breakers and senior trips. Some situations can bring out the more annoying/worst behavior of some teens like minimal parental/adult supervision. Just look at the Natalie Holloway story...

If you're looking for quiet, I'd avoid the value resorts in March or April esp. during Grad Night.

Onsite is something you need to try if you never have. Many like onsite some don't, like us. We found ASM very small, basic and overpriced.
We would never stay value again, one day might try a moderate but only about a third of our time in Florida is Disney time so for location Disney properties are not great, somewhere like Palm Parkway, LBV is perfect for us.
I would go for a 1 bed Condo offsite over value onsite, but many wouldn't

I've always enjoyed the relaxation of the condo experience, but after reading all your comments I realize I do need to experience staying on site. I don't think it would be great for my husband though so perhaps in '09 when I bring my niece....I'm more tolerant of noise when I'm in her company anyhow. :thumbsup2
