Pop is my least favourite resort at WDW and CSR is one of my favourite (with POFQ). Never had a problem having a seat in a CSR bus vs often standing while at Pop. Food at Pop was awful imo, luckily AoA food court wasn’t too far. We loved the food choices at CSR, especially the Cantina at the pool and Maya Grill. Finally, if you’re planning a pool day, CSR has one of the best pool and slide on property. Even better than AoA pool imo!

Stayed at Pop last time, CSR this time (July). Since you are going in September, you can try the new Tower at CSR. Interior hallways, a gym if that’s your thing. More deluxe looking. We are excited to try CSR, but wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Pop again. My vote for you was CSR. Try and get a tower room.

I’ve stayed at both Coronado and Pop.

Rooms are bigger at Coronado. For some people, Pop feels too small.
We don’t get a motel feel at either resorts, though they’re both set up like motels.
The food courts are similar in that you line up to order your food, then take your tray to pay.

All in all, we prefer Pop. Buses took too long at Coronado with the multiple stops and we found Coronado way too big for us in comparison to Pop.

SAME HERE. Also, I wouldn't count on "smaller crowds" as GE will be open.

Only stayed once at Pop. Heard everything going on in adjacent rooms such that I found it hard to relax and go to sleep. Also didn’t care for the cartoonish theming. It’s not a place I would return, but I would consider a short CSR stay. The refurbished CSR rooms look nice.

Would choose CSR if budget wasn't a concern, but $800 is nothing to sneeze at--could pay for like 2 sit down meals for u and you family:P

Depends on how many kids you have and the ages. We liked POP but the room was just too small for us. Can't speak for CSR yet but we are staying there in June. If it were just me and hubby and 1 kid, I'd probably pick POP for $800 because we are park commandos and thus don't see the value of spending money on a bedroom. But I have two "man-sized" teens right now and the size of the POP room just doesn't work.
