Pop Century or a Moderate?

We just booked our January vacation! Yay! This is our 6th trip to Disney with the kids and we have always stayed at Pop Century (we love it!) Last trip we stayed on an additional 2 nights (after 4 nights at the Pop) and we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. It was a beautiful resort and well worth it in May, as the kids got to use the fantastic pool. With the Disney Visa discount, staying at Port Orleans French Quarter or Carribean Beach would only cost us $73 more than POP. What I am concerned about is the bus service. It is super quick at POP, we have waited 20 minutes at the most. But, at POR, we waited 45 minutes one night. Is there anyone out there with more experience than us with the moderates that can tell me if this is normal? Is the bus service at some of the moderates better than the others? My oldest loves POP, and doesn't want to stay anywhere else. Hubby says the beds at POP were harder than at POR, does anybody know whether the moderates have softer beds? Thanks for reading my long winded questions and thanks everyone for your help!:wave2:

We stayed at CBR this past March and I don't think we waited more than 15 minutes for a bus. I didn't notice softer/harder beds, but didn't feel the bus transportation was any different than our previous stay at POP.

Enjoy your vacation!

As you may know, the buses are not dedicated to one resort. They are dispatched as needed. So there is no way to say that xxx resort has better buses than yyy resort.

I personally would not choose a resort because of the buses. Most of the time it is luck. For example your group could walk up to your resort bus stop right as the bus to MK pulled up. Another groupd could walk up to the bus stop 2 minutes after you did and will now have to wait ~20 minutes for another. Say that happens a couple times in a trip. You will come home and rave about the awesome bus service you had and the other group will come home saying the bus service was horrible.

I've stayed at both the CSR and CBR and found the bus service at CSR to be far superior.

CSR only has 4 stops compared to 7 or 8 at CBR.

Sorry I can't make a comparison to PO or POP...but I can say we enjoyed our stay at CSR and never had a long wait.

Hope this helps! :goodvibes
