I just had an idea...

Since there are going to be so many of us at the "GLOW" Party, we should try to take a group photo. I think that would be so much fun My DH will have his tripod & we have a pretty good camera, so I can have him take a group photo at a certain time during the party...maybe before everyone has had too much "GLOW JUICE" to drink LOL What do you all think? That way we will have proof that we had the biggest DIS meet ever!!

Morning all! One day closer.

It is UNBEARABLY humid and hot here today AGAIN, and we don't have a/c, and my backyard is flooded beyond belief (Our house is built into a hill, so no water inside, thankfully!)
They're predicting more rain...this should be interesting!

I ordered a new camera the other day and it shipped last night!
I'm going to practice with it a lot before we go, so I can get some great photos!

Then I realized this a.m. that my Disney Visa posted today, so I went and ordered my Disney Rewards card. It should cover souvieniers for all of us.

I have almost all the matching shirts pre-washed and put in the Disney box. I have started snatching appropriate looking shorts out of the wash for the kids -- they have enough to get by without a few pairs for now. And it's not like I can't grab them out of the box if I need them.
I am only packing 4 day worth of clothes and plan on doing laundry.

I bought BodyGlide and some spray deodorant for our feet from drugstore.com. I couldn't find BodyGlide locally. Have been trying it out on some "chafing" areas, sigh, and it does work pretty well.
Did I mention it's really humid here?

Let's see, what else....

We've been playing the game "What are you going to order at our ADRs?" Using the online menus. Have to try to not play that right before meal time as it makes me very hungry. LOL

All the hullabaloo about the Dining Plan changing is not bothering me at the moment--as long as I know what we can do right now, I'm good.
I have no idea when we'll be back again, so the plan will probably change several times by the time we go back. I'll worry about it then.
All I know is that we're eating for free...what else matters right now?
[I'm still on the IL's good list for getting them Free Dining. Wait until they actually eat the food! LOL]

Well, that's my report for the day.
Have a great day! I'll be checking back in frequently today, because it's too hot to do anything else and there is a fan pointed at the computer.

They are predicting 101 degrees here today! And I understand Sarah, all of a sudden our Central Air isn't working right (it is 37 yo). Luckily our basement stays cool. Matt says we'll have to replace the whole system.

On the subject of matching shirts, my mom bought tons of matching ones for us. We have this box with most of our Disney clothes in it, they're all brand new and I'm not allowed to touch them. -sigh- Oh well, at least I'll look brandy new at WDW.

O man! Thats awful Alicia! Im glad your basement is cool though. It has been VERY hot here too (we are pretty close), heat index up to like 109 yesterday, and they say no breaks in this weather untill AUG 16th (my birthday) Ohwell...I guess its getting me prepared for the Florida heat!!!

aksunshine , I am sorry your a/c waited until today to die BUT the good news is that after 37 years you have gotten your money's worth and also the new system will be much,much easier on your utility bills. I put in two new furnaces a few years back even though our old units worked well and they paid for themselves in a bit over 4 years. BTW, it predicted to be nearly 110 here today!! I am staying indoors with the boys.

DisneyMom5, you are wise to not worry about things until you need to. I sort of smile when I see all the 'what if' threads on here and so many get so heated up over it and who knows waht will happen, or not.

I have to go upstairs and do some work and we do not have a/c up there. Should be good for a half pound or so loss, until I drink a glass of water.

Hey Mike! You won't be lonely! There will be plenty of gals to hang around with. I'll be there with my friend Shirley. But, she several years older than me and rarely gets moving in the morning. I usually hook up with her at lunchtime and we tour the afternoons together. As a matter of fact, I'm doing breakfast at Boma by myself on the 23rd bright and early then heading over to AK to do EE and Nemo (Shirley has had a hip replacement and doesn't do thrill rides). There are several days it will be just me and my Pal Mickey...we have a great time and meet some wonderful people from all around the world!

Cool! Works for me. I have an AP (no P) and love to park hop. I think that's one of the reasons Shirley skips going to the parks altogether some days - she has standard admission media and is very practical about how she uses the days.

We will be there the same days as you and have free dining so all of our ADRs are booked. Other than meals and a few special events, I tend to go where ever my mood takes me.

It must be hot, hot, hot around the country because the past week here has been terrible with very high humidity! The AC hasn't had a break at all...I'm not looking forward to that bill

Hi all,

I'm late getting started on this thread today. I've been having trouble with my computer at work with all this adware stuff. My computer actually crashed and I had to get a new hard drive put in. 3 hours of trying to fix the stupid thing before I called the computer wiz at my job. Now I have to catch up on what I missed this morning. Anywho, 37 days left for me. Next week this time I'll be on my 30 days countdown.

DisneyMom5 - This was our trip last year. I tried to let my Mom and Dad make some of the decisions on where to eat - they wanted me to do it all. They pictured Epcot being right in with Magic Kingdom, they didn't have a clue. Well, I planned it all and it went soooo smooth! When we got home I recieved a Thank You note in the mail from my parents thanking me for all the time and effort I put in to make sure our vacation was enjoyable.

I planned our entire trip as well. My mom is going with us and I asked her input but she didn't care where we went on what day, so long as she was in Disney. I even asked about where she wanted to eat. She didn't care about that either. So I tried to please everyone:
ESPN for DS13
50's PTC and Sci-Fi for mom
the others I pretty much based on their menu since DS8 is such a picky eater.

Taking pictures at Pop is on my list of things to do as well. This is our first time staying at the resort so I'm really excited to see everything there. Have you ate at ESPN before? I'm sure my DH & I would love it since we are huge sports fans.

First time staying at Pop, actually first time staying onsite so a double excitement for me. We've never been to ESPN before since I'm not a sports fan. But I'm sure DS13 will love it.

Yup, tried playing that with my kids, but they said they'll look at the menu when they get there. Are they grouchy or what!!
My mom is excited knowing that we can order anything we want and not worry about how much something costs because we have to budget for each meal.

Hmmm...I might be able to swing over to AK on the 25th. I'll be there for sure in the morning on the 23rd and all day the 26th. The 29th is out - I'm doing the Segway Tour at Epcot in the morning and Party For The Senses in the evening.

We ended up having a pretty fun day, considering how hot it was.

DD13 and I worked on our Disney Itinerary, while listening to Disney Radio. BIG fun!!

We heard all of the Nemo show (never seen it), all of POTC, and the all of the Muppet 3D. And a variety of songs and ads. Including the voice on the monorail. We were a little misty eyed on that one.

AND -- when I got to Curves tonight, I had lost 2 lbs! Sweat can be our friend. LOL
